Granted it isn't Flash's best showing, but it is still an absolutely ridiculous feat.

How desensitized have people become when they think casually moving several times beyond c...just to pick up some some f*cking carry-out... isn't impressive?

👆

There's like...1 non-Flash related character in comics that can replicate it.

I'm pretty sure he's faster than talking apes.

the casualness of the feat is what makes it non impressive.

Why you're not reading PMs from me?

????

That doesn't make sense.

It's sin.

I think Sin meant for Flash, this is a non feat. Because we know he can go far faster when he’s fighting.

Makes sense. 👆

I mean...how do i say this... Ok, the feat is cool right, in and of itself. Impressive display of power. However, it doesn't add anything to the plot. At this point I really don't give a phuck how fast Flash is. I don't care that within Superman's nutsack is the key to every multiverse simultaneously. And feats like that seem like filler to me. ...so i'm not impressed. Impress me when someone writes a halfway decent Flash story

No one goes to comics for good stories anymore.

They go to see iconic characters do cool shit while directed by worse writing than anything other than online fanfics

I wouldn't mind a "Marvel vs. DC" tournament and "Amalgam" like event again.

I guess I'm just getting old then. While it's cool to see xyz bust a planet or someone tank a nuke every once in a while but to see it every week? I'm good.

Yup. Good writing gives good feats context. They feel more grand.

Without spoiling I would say that's why a lot of people like Kengan.
Baki, too, of course is brilliant.
Damn shame Baki-dou 2 has been trash though...aside from the memes at least.

I wonder why we get so few comics that are more oriented around fighting and such.

At the second episode of season 2.

I am also reading the manga side by side. Some of the differences are striking.

In visual design, of course, but I'm used to that. But also in narrative choices. The 5 year old Shogun, for example, the manga makes one mention of his suggestion of merchants holding fist fights to settle disputes to be a child like suggestion, and then goes on to suggest how abandoning all out war in favor of a contained tournament is a better alternative, and something adults set in their ways could never think of.

Meanwhile, the anime calls his suggestion childISH, and stresses several times that it's a ridiculous idea, but that the Shogun has absolute authority.

Maybe they figured a westernized audience wouldn't be able to identify with the reverence Japan has for its history. Or maybe the translators themselves inserted their own biases.

Personally, I prefer the non westernized version.

Cyclops as one of the twelve can motorize so that applicable science 🧪 doesn’t apply to himself. The way a car is a game changer.
If he uses his optic blast to force motion he’d be able to avoid contact with others.

I figure Cyclops has 76,000 shots at one object.

Thor just blew up multiple moons and rekt Phoenix Moon Knight.

The dialogue was so horrific, Jason Aaron really does not give a phuck anymore.

Exactly, it makes the feat seem...mundane. I'm like where's the conflict? Flash is a great detective right...rivaling Wayne, so why not do something along that angle with a more human approach? Y not have him deal with a criminal that he can't beat with the speed force. When they use their powers at such a level for something so insignificant it trivializes the feat.
