Exactly, it makes the feat seem...mundane. I'm like where's the conflict? Flash is a great detective right...rivaling Wayne, so why not do something along that angle with a more human approach? Y not have him deal with a criminal that he can't beat with the speed force. When they use their powers at such a level for something so insignificant it trivializes the feat.

I think it has its place. Like when Superman has to juggle his work at the Planet with being Superman, I think it's okay to show him using his speed to his advantage.

But a bad story chock full of feats isn't worth the paper it's printed on.

Palpatine's casual raping of Vader was a level of ownage not often seen in comics. Good shit. 👆

Thor just blew up multiple moons and rekt Phoenix Moon Knight.

The dialogue was so horrific, Jason Aaron really does not give a phuck anymore.

Yeah, he's just phoning it in at this point.

Spector had all but rejected the Phoenix Force at that point. Let's see how Thor does against Phoenix hosts in coming issues.

^He took control of it, he didn't reject it. What happens when a host conquers the bird historically?

Which is really impressive tbh as far as will power goes for Marc.

P.S. F*ck you for making me post these terrible scans to counteract your bullshit. One of the worst comics I've ever read. Legit reads like one of those random one-shots you have in partnership with Coke or something.

I can't believe this is the flagship title of Avengers post-Hickman. Jesus christ.

They don't get beaten by Thor, especially under Aaron.

Apparently you can't read.

😂

He outright says "I'm not the Phoenix" and "I suppose I deserve it".

Thorbags: That just means he controlled Phoenix, hurr durr.

Yeah, Not just throwing some force lightning but tearing apart vader piece by piece through the force. Palpatine was hyped to a new level in canon
Before this issue, I thought Vader at least could have given Palpatine a good fight. But now it seems Palpatine and Vader's gap is greater than I had suspected

😂

Under Aaron, the Phoenix is afraid of Mjolnir on its own. The actual Phoenix, as it resides in the white hot room. Not a small fragment or aspect.

He's referring to the fact that he's not a genocidal psychopath. He takes control of the Phoenix and relights the Sun.

If you want to argue he didn't give it his all because he was guilty? Sure, whatever.

The entire, reject the Phoenix is literally nonsense you inserted into the comic. If he had said, "I reject the Phoenix, I feel it leaving me." that's an entirely different concept.

Unfortunately, the Phoenix, under current lazy/shit writers, is like the Uni-Power. It enters a host, they get its power. It leaves a host, they lose its power. Unless the power is divided equally among multiple hosts.

Only wielded by Allmother Jane Foster, not some small godling like Thor.

Could your reading comprehension be anymore atrocious? Reignited the sun? Control the Phoenix? Shut up already.

I still need to catch up on the latest issue, but the event has been pretty terrible so far.

In the ESB-era, at least, there is most definitely a HUGE gap between them.

The Marvel Zombies have been eating Logan, hiding in Limbo (where they can apparently attack anywhere in the Multiverse), and the Zombie virus is what happens when the Brood infect Galactus.

So now I really wonder if this will be a thing...

Unless Thanos gains control of the zombie-verse and uses it to invade/destroy 616(it looks like all the heroes in the background are zombified.)

I'd read that, ngl.

Can Wolverine create unlimited amounts of mass out of nothing (for the zombies to eat), given enough time?

Yeah, it seems that these Marvel Zombies are different from the original storyline - Wolverine had been infected in that one, plus Spidey etc. And it wasn't Brood/Galactus related.

Thermodynamics be damned.

Lol. That is hilariously silly.

and that was Grant Morrison iirc.

It was.

Under Remender, Deadpool did something similar when he fed Archangel his arm meat.

lol, nice.

You'd think his body meat would be indigestible, considering even discarded parts retain enough healing factor to combine into a new evil Deadpool.
