Comic Book Questions & Discussion

He says that in every comic.

But yeah, fair enough.

Future State sounds really dumb.

"Cameras can't authenticate a guy hiding in the shadows".

Why wouldn't they? This is the far future, and we're supposed to believe technology conveniently hasn't adapted to common battarangs, fists, and hiding in the shadows?

There's also a basic logical fallacy in assuming a unique energy wouldn't bypass defenses, and be equally (Even non lethally) effective against a normal human or Superman.

Poison gas drops a human but lives. Same poisonous gas drops Superman but live. Theres no proof this was weakness exploiting.

Except for the proof you just laid out.

Unless you're suggesting Superman would be affected in any way by arsine.

Hercules should be immune to gases:

He was also immune to anything Shield could throw at him (Which is substantial) while towing the Helli-carrier against it's engines:

So Red Cloud was exposed to interdimensional energy and turned into a gas based entity. Why does that change the fact that she's still gas? Vapor was exposed to cosmic radiation and made something different:

Superman was brought to his knees in a similar manner. Does the unknown factor make it better? I.e. Vapor was turned into Arsenic and Red Cloud is an unknown entity probably off the periodic-table?

That's kind of strange, but sure whatever. I don't really care as long as people are consistent. In the Thor scan Abhilgend posted, Thor was taken out after the Kree Empire (Led by the Supreme Intelligence) prepped for their defeat (Notice how non-humans like the Titan Eros succumbed much quicker than Thor):

They have super-science capable of draining Ego in the same story and presumably would also use elements completely beyond regular poison and off the periodic table. And the Ruul that attacked the Avengers were specifically designed to drain energy and weaken.

That's what Thor gets for demolishing World of War Craft.

If dazed and disoriented is the threshold, Superman had the same impact from a Watermelon. 🙂

And as far as I remember, Mongoose came prepped from Wundagore.

What do you guys think Ares was eating in the first panel?

It looks like bread, but out of a bowl?

I have no idea.

But studying this page has reminded me why I miss Lord Bendis:

You've all the excuses, don't you?

Except it is not gas, but interdimensional energy.

You can keep ignoring me, doesn't matter - other people you are debating with will be reminded of the salient points of my argument which you keep dodging, and if they need to, can simply repeat it.

'Attack I have never faced before......first there was Red Cloud's interdimensional energies.....'

Frank Cho =/= Bendis. You ****.

It's kinda crazy, even though I never cared for Ms Marvel I desperately want that version back now.

Written by Bendis.

He had it happen under other artists, too:

Bucky Cap found something more interesting than TV.

World's greatest detective

Nothing in the Galactic.

I think I need to re-read his New Avengers run I liked it when it came out. I wonder if he already was that terrible back then.
