Heh, this should be fun...
I dunno how this should be approached, lol. Maybe make it as post 1986 by default, unless it's specified as everything when you want to put them against the skyfathers and abstracts.

I'd be fine with it being Pre and Post COIE (with the exception of the Lanterns), but honestly, I've no problem if people want to use their pre-crisis lunacy in threads.
Galan, what do you think?
Originally posted by ParmaniacIn Marvel, with very few exceptions, characters have across the board become much more powerful, with better feats as the decades have moved on. If you make it that only Marvel post-1986 counts, it changes virtually nothing -- actually, it removes a lot of the lower-powered years, so if anything it raises them up.
Does merging really matter if the characters are not even remotely written on that powerlevel anymore? I mean people make fun of Rage when he uses a Thor feat from the 70s, characters should have at least remotely close feats in like the last 15 years or so.
In the DC of 1960s, Superman was flying to a dead-universe mid-breath because he had to sneeze and didn't want to destroy the solar system, flies so fast he breaks out of multiversal infinity to Heaven and, as Superboy he was moving a galaxy of planets using a chain. All with utmost ease. Luthor was 3D printing replicas of Pre-Crisis Superman while inside a truck [not making this up: https://imgur.com/a/vsX5A] and of course time-travel by the most random of shit improvizations [https://imgur.com/a/Q6R4O, https://imgur.com/a/8ziyr]. I mean, look at this shit: https://imgur.com/a/Rc4w4. I don't want to even start on Hal, who was essentially Mxyzptlk with an easier name.

May be one character but if the power levels are remotely the same, it’s just not something you can use

If indeed all character showings(in DC's history) become usable after this event, people will just have to specify which 'version' of the characters they're intending to use in the OP. For example: "post-Crisis" Superman, "DCnU" Superman, "Rebirth" Superman, etc.
...Unless they want all of Superman's showings(across all eras) to be usable. In which case it would default to "current" Superman.
Going to be a royal pain in the ass.
