The sun God was the actual Sun.

Superman is Jon. He was being diplomatic when he said that he might be able to defeat them one on one.

With that said, I think the Sun, would have lost once Solaris rebooted.

in the US, it is acceptable for a man to call another man younger than him son even if there is no relation. Not as common now as it was prior to the 90’s though. I remember this on the reruns I saw on TV when I was LittleDude..
