If you read them you'll judge them immediately to be false.

i'm looking forward to it. i'm betting that it will at least be better than AotC (irredeemable hot garbage), and rogue one (not quite garbage, more like recycling bin...(which is just about as fun to watch).

Rogue One is by far the best of the Disney Star Wars films so far (to me at least). So I would be over the moon if I prefer Episode 9 to R1. But I doubt that will be the case.

hey, I liked solo. big pile of crap that it was

also true

Man folks...it's almost time and so far everything about this movie is just....wow.

SW ruining our Christmas has become a tradition of sorts.

Fuck our lives.

I have kind of given up hope for Star Wars movies at this point. People can shit on me for it, bu5 Legends will always be the real Star Wars to me. The good and the bad.

And so, out of morbid curiosity, I have a certain level of excitement in seeing how much of a mess this shitshow movie is going to be.

I have read all the leaks you can find and oh boy, I am READY.

Just saw a leak that

Spoiler:
Palpatine has a whole warehouse full of Snoke clones, and that's about all the info we get on the dynamic/history between them.

Hopefully that ends up being fake, because I want this movie to get *something* right... But I have no faith at this point. 😬

If that end ups to be true then there is a chance

Spoiler:
Nu Palpatine is revealed to be a clone when this movie tanks

If that's true, maybe

Spoiler:
one of the clones will survive the end of the film and then in a future trilogy 10 years down the line, Palpatine can say "Let the FINAL final battle....begin. Again. For real this time."

"LeT tHe PaSt DiE!!!"

amiright?

It reminds me of this.

For me, too.

But it doesn't mean I'm not willing to give this new canon a chance.

It's just that ST has kicked me in the balls with TLJ. And said balls ruptured. Hard to forgive that, you know?

On the plus side, the terrible ST has given me a whole new appreciation for the Vong. Soo.... I mean that’s something good they did.

One of the only things I am still legitimately looking forward to seeking explored in new canon are the Grysk.

But so far they have only been referenced/depicted by Zahn in his new Thrawn trilogy, and I'm sure Zahn is the only one who will be further expanding on them in the near future(which is probably a good thing, tbh.) Honestly some great storytelling potential there, though.

Aside from that, most of the canon novels and comics(especially in the last year or two) have been extremely hit or miss, and I've obviously written off the ST films entirely at this point.

At least The Mandalorian has been solid, and I have high hopes for the final season of TCW. /shrug

Well Zahn is one of the old heads and writer of one of the greatest SW book series so...not surprising there.

I frankly can't really get into any of the newer material though, even if it's good. The ST and the rather...lackluster comics(admittedly some good issues here and there) just kinda completely turned me off.

Far as TCW and its finale goes...generally from what I've seen about shows going on a long hiatus(it's been what... 5 years now?) and then coming back for another season, that season isn't really that fantastic. But hey who knows really, fingers crossed.
