I already see it starring Matt Damon and Emily Blunt.

No. Fassbender and Cumberbatch, with Zoe Saldana providing some 15th century cleavage, ankle and shoulder.

Make movies out of:
- Ringworld, by Larry Niven (CGI Puppeteers are long overdue)
- Flux, by Stephen Baxter (humans living inside a neutron star)
- Hyperion, by Dan Simmons (just a fantastic read on so many levels)

Actually, that does sound interesting. I already see it starring Matt Damon and Emily Blunt.

I always thought the high street on different worlds for the Hegemony would be fantastic from Hyperion visually, as would the houses with rooms on different planet's.

Yeah the neutron birds, xeelee etc would be fun.

Agreed. Fassbender and Cumberbatch would be better than Damon (I was influenced by The Great Wall), but I'm stickin' with Emily.

I'd like to see a CGI Shrike; and the Xeelee would be a helluva reveal, since Baxter refused to really describe them in his stories (an intriguing literary turn, but damn, I want a pic).

Texas chainsaw massacre... 2099!

Leatherface is a robot with a human brain, running around with a lightsaber chainsaw.

Yeah, Baxter wrote some good shit.

Simmonds stuff does lend itself to spectacle, the machine god, shrike, phase suits etc. Very cool.

I'd like to see a book called the ice cream war set in Africa in WW1 turned into a film, I think it would work very well, as would Bellow's Henderson the Rain King, especially if it was set as a period peice.

I'd like to see an adaptation of We, by Yevgeny Zamyatin. The book supposedly inspired Orwell to write 1984.

Never read the book, but I do so enjoy a well-written dark comedy.

Escape from E.U.

Snake Plissken's illegitimate son (Played by Hayden Christensen) has to steal time sensitive something, and rescue the president, ect, from the authoritarian E.U.

Twist ending, he spend five minutes with a suspiciously orange pres, and shoots him.

There was rumoured to be an Escape From Earth in the pipeline but that was 15 or so years ago now.

A Michael bay production, the teaser trailer has some monologue from a general about the military incorporating Cybertronian technology to create an elite anti Transformers crack squad. The camera pans to, what looks like, a Transformer, who says "This is Leader 1", as he transforms into an F-15 Eagle. Cue an appropriately Bayformerish "The Go-Bots".

47 minutes of me ****ing Backfire.

The whole time he's berating me for not being able to satisfy him.

That sounds more like a made for Cable TV Mini Series. Probably The Lifetime Channel.

we all get sucked into KMC, and begin our search for raz, fighting through trolls, spammers and ads. with KMC our home planet. Knowing that KMC's armageddon is soon to come and might spill and consume the forumverse.

That's sounding more like a trilogy IMO.
