Black Manta vs Cyclops

We all know Black Manta. King of the Optic Blasts. 1 billion dollars at the Box office and counting.

But you may not know of this obscure comic character called Cyclops. He was in a few low budget indie movies that barely anyone saw and he has optic blasts too, but its like a disability.

Can this upstart take on the reigning champ?

We using movie versions or comic versions? If we going by comic versions, I'm taking Cyclops for the win. He has some good showings with his optic blasts : focusing his laser into a tight beam and punching a hole through Blob, his famous "get off my lawn" blast, etc...

oddly enough i could see manta taking this one. he can counter the eye beam and has some other weapons to fall back on. not a stomp by any stretch, but i think i'd take manta for a slight majority here. good fight. 👆

Not to mention if Manta gets close enough, Cyclops will be Sushi. :3

It would be like a mortal kombat fatality.

All the while Manta would be very confused, not know who this John Marston looking lad is while he skins him alive.

Cyclops would need to practice with his optic blasts a bit longer if he wants to compete with the reigning king.

Are you guys being sarcastic or serious? I can't tell sometimes on this forum. What are Black Manta's best feats/showings with his optic blasts? Does he have anything comparable to these feats :
Matching Garokk (powered by the same generators that sustained the Savage Land) in a beam war :

Punching a hole through a small mountain top :

Punching a hole through Blob (this guy has fairly decent invulnerability) :

Cutting a tunnel through solid rock under the sea :

The infamous, "Get off my lawn blast " :

Overloads mutants that absorb energy :

He is perfectly capable of it, but he would hold back. He's not a killer.

Manta has no qualms about it, which gives him an advantage.

None of these feats from this indie nobody matters.

Cyclops has far, far more skilful showings with his blasts, which to be fair makes sense given not just his history, but him being portrayed as having ridiculous accuracy.

Manta on the other hand... Inconsistent as a lot of his showings might be, he has been consistently able to harm Aquaman with his blasts, even burning his skin on occasion. Cyclops has never don't that to someone THAT durable with a straight up blast. If he gets creative and tries to burrow a pencil-width-blast through Manta's helmet it might work, but I just feel like a suit built to fight Aquaman would protect Manta from all but the most devastating of Cyclops's attacks, and maybe even then some.
