People are so quick to go after anything to do with Trump it did not matter.

This was, somehow, major news. And why? Cuz in their mind it was confirmation of every bad thing they think about Trump and his supporters. They cried about this with a hint of glee until the narrative was demolished. Then they tried to smear students who went to the school years ago or just the school itself. This is what they saw:

What happened in this thread while I was busy? Did you guys get more "minions" for my "secret knitting circle" where we try to pick on PVS/Bashar?

Good lads.

Oh we had Adam come straight up lie lol. You remember the story of the smear of the gay valedictorian who didn't actually even go to Covington? Yeah, he legit tried to say the kid went there, even though even NBC acknowledged he didn't.

Do you remember some dipshit saying the guy speaks the truth a lot? LOL! Embarrassing.

I did not lie, I was simply incorrect. The incident happened last year, and I misremembered the information. However, the Roman Catholic Diocese of Covington administers both schools. And the diocese did ban all class officers from speaking at graduation to prevent the valedictorian from delivering a commencement address, because he is gay. And since the diocese does not have one standard for Covington Catholic High School and another for Holy Cross High School, it absolutely speaks to the bigoted climate within the diocese. You continue to harp on this single detail, even though it does not affect the overall truth of the claim. You are like a dog with a bone, you think you have a gotcha moment, and you really do not, because the anti-LGBT climate of the diocese is 1. not in dispute, and 2. corroborated by this and other students. Sorry, no pretend wins for you.

Headlines: "New photos of event suggests that confrontation in photo may have been started by individual sitting at the counter, highlighting the dangers of outrage culture and how easily people jump to conclusions."

Pundits: "How can you hold teenage boys responsible for their actions? They're just kids. How old are these boys, sixteen? What sixteen-year-old understands the consequences of his actions?"

Gaslighting Trolls: "We all felt the same outrage when we saw the first photo, and had a visceral reaction to what we thought we saw in it, but we know now that the situation was much more complex. There was also an exchange with other boys on the sidewalk outside, and with other patrons near the front of the store, so there's a lot more to what happened than this one photo, as we previously thought. He walked up to them and just sat there, inches from their faces. What were those boys supposed to do?"

Political Operatives: "This just comes to show how easily fake news can make their way into our homes, and how stereotypes can be weaponized by the mainstream media. Those boys were unfairly branded as racist just because of one photo, without the facts, when all they were really doing was standing there, trying to defuse the situation."

Bomb-Throwers: "That boy at the counter clearly started it!"

The Public: "Oh yeah. I guess we totally read that photo wrong. We must have jumped to conclusions. We can't be sure what really happened there. Who knows what the context of that scene really was? You can't even trust your own eyes anymore."

Reminder: "The Party told you to reject all evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command."

Point well taken. This is actually a really damn good point.

So the Native America Marchers should not have walked right up to and INto the group MAGA students, trying to goad them into a violent reaction so as to dishonestly claim, "The MAGA students started the violence!"?

If that's your point, it's a damn good one and I appreciate how well you've made this point. It's pretty effective and you've done very well to type out such a great post to drive that point home.

Agreed, the NA Marchers should not have walked right up to and Into the group MAGA students, trying to goad them into a violent reaction so as to dishonestly claim, "The MAGA students started the violence!".

Glad other people(in general) are letting go of their bias and acknowledging what really happened.

^This is a great example of a deranged leftist. He was wrong, and his original post on the subject had enough details that it's not like he could have just read a headline and gotten it wrong.

But he pulls the same shit we're seeing: I was wrong about this, but what about this?

No, there is no actual evidence they were banned over being gay. You simply can't just say you're wrong and move on without some sort of smear. It's amazing. TDS.

Don't go to storm front, got it from the same place I get a lot of the memes I post. Not sure why it matters where the meme is from though, either a meme works or it doesn't. That meme is spot on.
