How Covington's Nick Sandmann could win his longshot defamation claim against the Washington Post
Why did it take them so long to do this?
Swastikas Found at Famously Elite, Progressive D.C. School Sidwell Friends
I can't wait to see this school get just as much attention as the Covington kids and their school received.

Interesting. What a stupid amount of money. But I was reading that they never expect to get anywhere close to 1/1000 of that. They do it on purpose. I forget the priming reason but it is to prime the case to get a higher pay out.
I was also hearing clips from people on MSNBC saying "there is something aggressive about standing there" lol. It sounds truly bizarre.
Also The Washington Post is trying to get their lawsuit dismissed and legit argued that not only were they accurate, but that the teen benefited from their coverage.
You gotta laugh. They could have just said the first part that they were accurate and argue since they said "allegedly" before everything or something like they never lied that but nope they had to go that extra mile.

Exactly
Overshooting your lawsuit is common as you're expecting the person/institution you're suing will go under and through mediation, you'll settle on something both sides are comfortable with without having to go to court. It's a game but it's stupid to go overboard or under too much from either side.
But this is clearly clown-levels of overboard and suing for ridiculous amounts can backfire if the defendant is trying to get the lawsuit thrown out as they can possibly use your ridiculous claim against you. A certain judge might go "275million because someone called you a bigot, that's unprecedented and frivolous, dismissed!"
God willing this happens to this clearly money-grubbing family and their sleazy lawyers. Frivolous lawsuits are a stain to our legal system.

Kids lawyer has announced they plan to sue CNN for $250 million as well.Reading responses to the story I see some on the left complaining this is a waste of time.
Nah, you forfeited the right to cry about time wasting with the Christine Blasey Ford fiasco.
Amen.
And contrary to what some other posters say, the kid is absolutely entitled to that much and more considering how the f***ing liars at CNN, MSNBC, and other left-leaning so-called "news" have probably ruined his reputation for life with their BS spin of what really happened. I actually think they should bump it up to $500,000,000, tbh. Bankrupt their asses. 👆
It's the only way liars who call themselves "journalists" will ever learn their lesson and stop constantly lying all the god**** time.

Yeah, just standing there w/maga hat on and smiling while simply minding your own god**** business is sooooooo "aggressive" and triggering. 🙄
That poor poor native american who lied and said he was a vietnam vet (another lie) and got in the kids face yelling at him with his stinky breath is the true victim here. 🙄

They should have asked for like 10 million and then settled for around 5-10% of that.
Considering how that kids reputation is probably ruined for life I don't think settling for only 1 million dollars even begins ro cover the damage. It's probably going to be difficult for him to find a job anywhere and one million dollars doesn't go nearly as far today as many people think it does.
He's entitled to a Hell of a lot more than that and, more importantly, these liars in the fake news need to be taught a lesson. One million dollars is nothing to them. That would be like a slap on the wrist.

Yes and no.
Suing for 10-15 million and then settling for around 4-8mil after months of mediation would have been the smart approach. That's an amount the large news corps would rather settle quietly out of court which both parties signing non-disclosure agreements.
They're gambling with the 275million claim, especially if their opposition is seeking to have the case thrown out.
So, some leftist retard judge threw out the kid's case against The Washington Post... shocker. 🙄
Judge ruled that the Native American who got in the kid's face did it because he "felt threatened." lmao. So I guess that sets a precedent now that anyone who does something unjustified to another person can just claim that he or she "felt threatened." You know, kinda like how Antifa thugs go around beating people up who were merely minding their own business and then later say it was a form of "pro-active self-defense" against so-called "nazis/fascists". lol
