It requires damages. A loss is a form of damages. It is right there in your example.

IOW, I'm right.

🙄 of course you're not.

Sure I am.

Loss being one form of damages doesn't mean that loss is required, especially since it says "damages or some harm" as in, even damages isn't 100% required. nice attempt at using a semantic argument. maybe next time it'll work out for you.

If he (Silent Master) was wrong, they (CNN) would not have settled for a very large sum that was quiet on purpose to spare CNN further embarrassment for being partisan hacks.

They would have fought it and easily won and made it VERY public that the won. That's excellent PR and aligns with their strategic political alliances and political bias.

I wish we had a supreme AI that existed so it could just focus on the facts and logic so people wouldn't get so emtionally invested in these things.

"CNN, et al, acted in a manner that resulted in legitimate damages under the law. Here is your payout. No shutup."

The end.

Am I part of the Trumper squad?

If so, yeah, other than the support for Trump part, I like them. They are easier to get along with, more reasonable to discuss things with, and more readily admit fault than the not-Trumper-Squad.

Minus TheLoneRanger. He's just...

If you knew me personally, you wouldn't think such negative things about me. I'm actually a pretty laid back guy, irl, and nice to those who're nice to me. 😉

Hell, I'm even best friends with someone who hates Trump (someone I've actually been friends with since I was a kid). After having our friendship almost ended several times over political shit we've finally agreed to just not bring up politics anymore because we've acknowledged that we'll never agree with each other.

Most people aren't assholes when talking about anything other than politics and sport. 👍

Uh, yes it is. It is right there in your example: All four conditions must be met, one of which is damages.

Poor Adam is still upset over this lol.

Admit it, Adam, CNN f***ed up and irreparably ruined this innocent kid's life. Them settling the case with him is them basically admitting what they did was wrong.

I don't understand why you are making a case like this to me. You're stubborn and instantly rude. You come off as unstable and a bit unhinged at times. You almost never change your mind on anything especially if they present evidence and facts to you (almost no one does except those who are open minded). You also seek out confirmation bias to the extreme: much more so than normal. You also come off as callous sometimes: which is not good.

So you come off as obstinate, ignorant, and combative like ALL the time. It makes for an unpleasant experience which is why many people make fun of you for being an idiot.

And you don't have to tell me. I already know I'm an arrogant know-it-all.

I disagree! I am an as*hole all the time especially when it comes to mundane things that should never have disagreements.

I think people need to pace themselves. There will likely be more settlements so people need to moderate their tears.

We wouldn't have it any other way, big boy. 😘

Remember when this story was breaking and hours into the mess, I called into question the authenticity of the young man doing anything wrong? I said this smelled fishy and wanted video evidence of which group approached the other to determine who the aggressors were. Remember that?

I saw this all over the place.

Has it been confirmed with video evidence (not eye-witnesses - they are in contradiction) that they approached and surrounded them?

People in the MAGA group claimed they were approached and the drummer dude aggressively drummed in his face to intimidate him. And tons of anti-Trumpers claimed that the MAGA people surrounded them. Both are interested in vilifying the other. But one side is playing up the minority status, big time, as if this is a giant crime and everyone is damned to hell for eternity. Playing the minority card seems a bit shitty. Doesn't matter if it was a Scottish dude in his full Celtic attire singing Celtic folk songs: it's disrespectful and harass-y, regardless.

After seeing this kind of thing for almost 20 years, I keep my pitchfork put away until I know who I'm supposed to be mad at.

Any video of him (doesn't matter which "him"😉 approaching? I'd like to confirm who is lying.

Then remember people accused me of being a gaslighter for even daring to question whether or not Philips was an honest actor in this situation? Remember that?

And then remember when I found the full length video that showed Philips to be the aggressor and the Trumpers being reasonable and behaved?

Phillips guy seems like a good guy except for his aggression against the MAGA students.

Here is a much longer video. Which shows how aggressive the NA Vet is. Remember, these MAGA students were at the Lincoln Memorial and were approached. With Phillips seeming like a great guy who wanted to stop the aggression from the Black Israelites against the young students (I believe Philips and his reasons behind his approach but he was clearly being aggressive and started the incident).

YouTube video

Apparently, the above video keeps getting taken down from YouTube so it may not last. Also, contrary to the narrative being spun in most sources, when f*ggot is yelled, the students react negatively seen at 7:18. There goes that narrative, as well.

And here is the full almost 2 hour video showing this confrontation start:

YouTube video

The beginning of the video starts with Black Israelites mocking Native Americans for worshiping totem poles.

Around 1 hour and 12 minutes is when you can see Philips enter the group of kids.

Guys...seriously, this should disturb all of you. Philips seems like a good guy, imo. But he was rather aggressively in his approach and was rather disrespectful.

Remember all this?

And now major news corporations are settling out of court with Nick Sandman because of all the false narratives they painted of this whole situation. If only they would have consulted me, first, before dragging a high school teenager through the mud like that. I could have saved all these companies literally tens of millions or hundreds of millions.

My arms are cramping from patting my back so hard. I gotta give it a break for a bit.

Flesh, the character out Starfly... make him sympathetic, give him a back story and no matter how unlikely... Friends! 👆

Washington Post has settled their lawsuit for their fake news reporting with Nick Sandmann for a whopping $250 million lol. That puts a big smile on my face although I'm sure it's not nearly as big as the one on Sandmann's face right now lol.

Also, NS tweeted on Twitter "2 down, 6 to go. Don't hold your breath, Jack."

Is Jack Dorsey gonna be his next target for taking in tens or perhaps even hundreds-of-millions of dollars? I sure hope so.

The original suit was for 250 million, but it doesn't say how much he settled for.
