Roger Stone arrested with FBI Swat Team and Automatic Weapons Drawn

Innocent till proven guilty doesn’t apply bash?

roger stone was arrested under charges, not convicted. as for the guns drawn, they must have considered him unpredictable as well as a flight risk. so since when does arrest mean robbery of due process unless there are no charges given?

Can't we just judge Stone guilty via the Court of Public Opinion like we do with Trump and just have Stone executed as soon as possible.

Guys movies suck now so I say we just get it over with.

trump was convicted too? wow i missed that. how is he still president then? weird.

I imagine you miss a lot now, what with you being a Raging Drug Addict.

criminal justice is not driven by public opinion. that's why all your cults cries of "lock her up" amounted to no more than ineffectual screeching.

Wow. That is Some Strong "Script" you be token on Bro.

a bit early for you to be hittin the cough medicine, aint it fly?

Need me to stop off and get you a few cartons of eye drops? Or are your eyes just naturally that red?

As I posted, the judge did not deem him a flight risk and his passport is expired, hence why they let him out just on his signature, and he is still allowed to travel to many parts of the country.

This is intimidation, you just happen to agree with it because you dont like him.

Yeah I'm not saying don't go after Stone, but the way they did it seems quite extreme to me.

And CNN just happening to be there makes this entire thing seem like a political stunt, one involving one of our intelligence agencies.

Martha Stewart was a criminal too, did they arrest her like this?

This is incredibly short sighted and very disappointing.

A criminal and a traitor, so who cares? How could you possibly say that? There was a time, for your sexual orientation, you would have been a criminal, and people would’ve said, who f*cking cares? You know how they did that? Demonizing and justifying whatever happened as deserving. People ARE people. Even criminals.

A society is judged by how it treats its worst members.

I really hope this isn’t true. It’s incredibly disheartening to me and a clear abuse of power. Roger Stone is most likely a POS who should’ve been in jail a long time ago.

That is a nice tu quoque fallacy you have constructed for yourself. The difference is that the laws Stone has broken are not discriminatory. They do not single him out for disparate treatment on the basis of a class to which he belongs. The laws in question have not been constructed to criminalize his existence. No, he has broken just laws that are apply to everyone equally. But keep defending traitors.

You write with the grammar of someone who has had education, but it seems you are lacking in self-awareness.

There is a very good reason why we have the criminal code that we have, and why we have enjoyed perhaps the most progressive society on the face of the Earth. Please do some self-reflection. Also, understand, that society is ever-changing. The very same people who would consider me a deviant half-breed or you a criminal for being homosexual, may very well gain power one-day.

People always forget this: When you draconiaize the law, and put limitations on freedom. Sooner or later, a REAL sociopath ends up in charge, and things go to shit.

I just don't see why some can't see the difference between "he has done something potentially worthy of jail time and at the very least arrest" and "he didn't warrant a Swat team to come arrest him".

The guy has been saying for a while they were gonna go after him, so if he was gonna flee he's had months to try. He's also 70+ years old. I don't see why they would waste the resources doing it like this.

Revenge against anyone who helped Trump is all it’s about.

They still have not accepted they lost. They are incapable of accepting it because it goes against their principles.

These intelligence agencies have always been political to an extent, but now they are quite blatant about it.

Some people feel empowered because they think certain intelligence agencies are more politically leaning one way or another. It’s a little dumb. This whole progressive movement is about 10 years old, and historical precedence does not suggest it will last very long or that this will always be the case.

The NA founders realized a long time ago, that proper checks and balances were important. We seem to forget what they were trying to protect from. NA doesn’t have the constant reminders that’s Europe has about the devastation caused by uncheck power, or the predilection of human beings for abuse of power.

It's weird to see how the left now views our intelligence agencies though. There was a time when this shit would have disturbed them, but now they carry water for these agencies.

Homosexuality was illegal in this country on the federal level until 2003. You cannot educate me about Draconian laws and the danger of the wrong people in power. The fact remains that Roger Stone 1.) broke equally-applied just laws, and 2.) was not mistreated according to the letter of the law. If you disagree with that, you can work to change the law regarding his treatment, or you can challenge it in court. But what you are not going to get is an sympathy for someone who was not discriminated against or mistreated in any way, despite the fact that he deserves it.

It seems that you do need to be educated. Laws can be changed back. Keep that in mind. This isn’t some permanent status quo. Pendulums swing all the time, and humans are fickle by nature. That’s why the constitutions from the last two Centuries have been so revolutionary and led to so much peace and prosperity.

Are you actually saying “according to the letter of the law” when discussing the mistreatment of someone? I think if the contents of this OP post are true, it was clearly a breach of power.

That last bit....

Jesus, you’re really showing a lot about your character as a person here. Roger Stone is a POS who has profited from being a slimy political fixer. Because of this, you think he deserves to be discriminated against or mistreated it?

As a homosexual man in US, I’d figure you’d be against anyone being mistreated or discriminated against, full stop.

I think you really should self-reflect here. You’re discussing a human being here. You may think he’s scum, but have some sympathy and empathy. As it stands from this post, you don’t seem to be much better than him as a person. You just have a more favourable opinion in this area of the internet.
