After Jones skipped the first scheduled deposition on Wednesday, lawyers for the plaintiffs asked Connecticut Judge Barbara N. Bellis to issue a warrant for his arrest to force him to participate in the deposition.

In response, Bellis ordered Jones to appear Thursday at the deposition or face potential court action. Now that Jones has skipped that second deposition, the judge is expected to take action against him as soon as later on Thursday.

He's claiming he's too sick to answer questions. What a deplorable.

A Superior Court judge on Wednesday found conspiracy theorist and Infowars host Alex Jones in contempt of court and imposed a fine of up to $50,000 a day for what she called his "willful" violation of her orders that he submit to questioning at a deposition by families of victims of the Sandy Hook School killings.

After a series of delays, Jones failed to comply last week with repeated orders by Bellis that he appear for a deposition on March 23 and 24 in Austin, Texas where his Internet broadcasting company is located.

At the conclusion of a brief hearing in Waterbury, Bellis said Jones can have her contempt order purged if he sits for two days of deposition in Connecticut. If he fails to appear, she said she is ready to impose a variety of additional sanctions.

Going to be lame if she waives the fines he's incurred thus far. Jones should have to pay the 50K a day until he appears, then it stops once he sits for his deposition.

He did more as V.P. than Trump did as President. That's saying something.

Alex Jones should be president.

Alex Jones accused of hiding assets over Sandy Hook lawsuits -snip

Alex Jones is facing a new lawsuit in Texas over accusations that the Infowars host hid millions of dollars in assets after families of Sandy Hook victims began taking him to court. -snip

According to the lawsuit, Jones is accused of drawing about $18 million from his Infowars company over three years, starting in 2018 when the defamation lawsuits were filed. Jones is also accused of claiming a “dubious” $54 million debt around that time to another company, which the lawsuit alleges is indirectly or directly owned by Jones. -snip

Sneaky little bastard.

"reeeeee" 😂

The court should assign a forensic auditor to go through every bit of Jones' finances 🙂

Everyone thought Alex Jones was 10 years older than he is. Maybe that's why people think he was Bill Hicks.

Alex Jones learns on witness stand lawyer sent his text messages to rival attorneys

hile being cross-examined at his defamation trial in Austin, Texas, on Wednesday, Alex Jones was informed that his attorneys accidentally sent two years of text messages from his cellphone to the lawyer for the Sandy Hook parents suing him — and then failed to note that the messages were protected under attorney-client privilege.

Mark Bankston, a lawyer for the plaintiffs, presented a text message about Sandy Hook which Bankston said came from Jones’s cellphone. -snip

Jones perjured himself again and his bumbling lawyer did the assist in error 😂

Jones has also now switched from "Sandy Hook was all staged, they were crisis actors, it's a false flag operation!", to "I think Sandy Hook happened. I think it was a terrible event. I think it was a coverup. The FBI knew it was going to happen.". He of course has no evidence once again and the judge isn't buying this new spin to try and weasel out of the lawsuits.

The prosecution allowed him to perjur himself for 12 days before they sprung this on him on the witness stand. Good luck declaring bankruptcy, because your text messages revealed your income and your assets.

😆

The judge really needs to assign a forensic auditor, find every single bit of wealth Jones might have squirreled away and take it all for his victims.

🙄 i think they're trying to run another ratf*ck play.

Possible,, if it was deliberate and as a means to try to call for a mistrial, it's going to fail though, the judge doesn't seem like a moron.

What would be the point? You cannot put the genie back in the bottle. The records he illegally tried to hide have been discovered, and would be admissable in a new trial. It gains them absolutely nothing. They are just incompetent. Jones had better hope they do not find evidence that he participated in a seiditious conspiracy, or more images of child pornography in these records, or he will have more than money troubles as the result of this. You can tell it was not planned by his reaction in court. He is sweating bullets, because he knows there is incrimminating evidence in those messages. He is simply not that good of an actor.

I'm on the accident/incompetence side of this, but it's possible this was intentional and some fool's hope of demanding a mistrial, it's Alex Jones after all.

I'd forgotten about Alex Jones' child porn allegations. What did he claim, that someone else put the child porn on his computer and search history?
