I'd forgotten about Alex Jones' child porn allegations. What did he claim, that someone else put the child porn on his computer and search history?

He claimed the images were on the InfoWars server, because someone emailed them to him to plant them there, but that he never opened the emails.

However, evidence suggests that the images were on the server, because he emailed them to himself.

That figure is for only two of the families. There are like a dozen families in the suit.

While driving I heard on the radio Jones could face an additional 45 million to those two families 🙂

Jones has bragged before that his Infowars (and connected entities) are worth over 250 million, so keep rewarding jurors.

Man, what an a##hole he is. It's pretty refreshing having him get what he had coming.

Also kind of hilarious the way it went down. Something about his lawyers sending all his texts to the opposing attorneys? Gold.

Jones testified that just 2 million would bankrupt him/his companies, the economist/financial expert that testified said he was worth at least 270 million and that he’s shuffled over 60 million between various shell companies.

Hopefully every family is awarded around 50 million and Jones is legit left with nothing.

Isn't it law that the defense must have prior knowledge of all evidence that the prosecutor or plaintiff plans to use against them? could it be argued that the plaintiffs' lawyers were obligated to immediately disclose the text message error?

Dunno, but I think you’re talking about “Brady material”, and since the defense already had the text messages, it would likely not go against the prosecution here.

Why would the plaintiffs need to disclose when the defense supplied the evidence? If they did not know, they should have.

because they used those texts as evidence. in doing so, it could be argued that they should have notified the defense "we got ALL the messages, thank you very much, and we intend to use it.

His counsel has a duty to know the contents of the records before submitting them as evidence. They had every opportunity to do so. If they did not, that is a them-problem.
