Good.Of all the stations, though, why MSNBC finally doing the right thing?
ARE they doing the right thing?
I mean, it's totally the right thing. Question is, are they doing it because it's right, or some other reason?
I'm thinking the indigenous catholic kid going literally everyone in lawsuits might have shaken things up a bit. If it turns out Smollett is innocent, and the networks go the wrong way on it, that could open them up to even more.

Maybe all media should stop covering all the news that doesnt fit with the liberal agenda.
When something relevant happens, like going to trial and then the outcome, you'll hear about it again.

I understand your point. I get it. And they very well could be doing it to not draw attention to a fail among one of their own. A form of damage control.
It's not an issue if they don't talk about it and it fades away quickly from the public eye so they can focus on the more important issues like Trump's tweets.

People still believe that vaccines cause autism thanks to the hoax research.

You're always going to have some people who will not be swayed no matter what on most events, just a fact.
He didn't want to start a "race war", that's hysteria from the loony side of the Right, nor was this some direct political attack at Trump or Trumpers, this was all about personal gain and he used the tactics he used because similar attacks have happened before and he thought it would make it easier to be believed, he's just a complete moron who didn't think much of anything through.
The majority of people believe this; the police's view that this was a money grab hoax.

That's great doesn't change the fact this guy needs to be wrecked. He literally wanted to destroy peoples lives over his political distaste for people.
He wanted to say "look what these people did to me, they are racist bigots." He did it to himself, I have no sympathy.

Ha, you think he did this so Fox would pay him more money, thats like saying:
"Tupic dissapeared because he didnt want to pay late fee's at blockbuster"
Trevor Noah

You didn't understand my point. My point is, people will continue to hold false beliefs once they've been poisoned with the falsehoods, even in the face of overwhelming contradictory evidence.
There will still be some Jussie-believers long after he's served his time and paid his fines.

Just look at Virginia, the sitting Gov is a racist, the Lt. Gov has been accused of sexual assault by two women and the AG is also a racist. The media doesn't even want to talk about it anymore, know why?
Because they are Democrats.
Trump is a racist and has 19 accusations of sexual assault, you don't care about those so demanding that others care over these is just strange.
So clean your own house first before telling someone else theirs needs a vacuuming. Especially considering your boy is POTUS and sets the standard, that's part of the job.
Originally posted by RobtardI'm much more cynical about this. I do think stories like this get too much press but it's just too ideologically self serving for a left wing network to shelve a story that left wingers aren't particularly excited about in the first place for me to sing them any high praises for doing so. Not that I think it's a bad thing for them to do this, just that it's probably a self serving move.

If Fox News shelved it... Yeah that would be impressive and surprising. For MSNBC to do it.. at best you can say they're putting ideology ahead of revenue and even that might not be true since their viewers might not be interested in watching extensive coverage of this case in the first place.
I feel you, believe me. But we live in a "new shiny" 24/7 news cycle. Stories come and go as easy and fast as farting.
Don Lemon apparently ran a piece on how Smollet lied, played games and is trash for doing so. How many times do you need to hear that out of Don Lemon on a story like this.
You'll see his name again though, when the trial gets closer (or if he pleads guilty) and is sentenced.

How many times? I guess it depends on how many times he cried about the story on the news when he thought it was true. Take that amount? And double it.
