Bernie Sanders to ‘Assess’ Campaign, Focus on Coronavirus, After Another Round of Losses
He is gonna have "conversations with supporters to assess his campaign".
Lol why does he trust his lunatic supporters to give him honest feedback?

I'm of the opinion that an honest day's of work should be paid well. If you worked hard, you should get paid that way.The only problem is, and you know this, only 1/10 people are hard working. Nine out of Ten just do what it takes to get by.

"Bernie Sanders to assess future of his campaign after string of losses" - something like that is all over the news, so pick your flavour. He's also apparently suspended Facebook ads. IMO, he's going to "suspend" his campaign and Biden will be the defacto winner. Sad, but it happens 🙁
Do you think Bernie got screwed over by external forces or do you think at the end of the day it was just the campaign he ran that is the reason why he won't be the nominee?

I think there's a lot of factors; here's three.
-He did get some unfair coverage, from both sides no less
-The stigma of being labeled a "socialist-comminist-extremist" over and over doesn't appeal to many people, especially ones who want a return to normalcy after 3+ years of the Trump Clown Show
-Some of his ideas are indeed scary to the masses

I understand. Ultimately what do you think contributed more to his losses?

Earlier today Axios reported Bernie was suspending his campaign, but he has since pushed back and and said it was "absolutely false".
Good.
In the event that Bernie does back out but Biden has to drop because of health reasons, does Bernie then take the wheel or do we have to do the primaries over again?

I don't think they would be required to do the primaries again. With that said...I think if Biden had to drop out due to health reasons it would depend on the timing. If it happened with a decent amount of time still left until election day the dems would probably choose to do primaries again if that was an option.
One thing I was reading is that you had people who did early voting for the primaries and then the people they voted for ended up dropping out prior to the day the primaries were held. Some tried to change their vote, but were told they could not. I wonder how much of an impact this had.

I should have added, with suspending, the person also keeps their delegates they've won. So that would leave Sanders room to bargain with Biden in possibly making some promises, in return for Sanders' open support.
Makes sense. Suspending is a smart choice, then.
I agree with the person that suggested that Bernie needs to be so far left so that the compromise brings us to something reasonable like Pete's positions (Pete was reasonable in many of positions if you looked at his policies).
The issue is we will start with a reasonable policy and it will be right-washed (ha, I'm so clever) into something shit like Obamacare.
Who was the on that said that? Was it someone on KMC that said that? Feels like it was something Patient_Leech would say.

So are you really planning on not voting in November?

I will vote for Gabbard if she is on the ticket. I inspected her policies thoroughly and she is the closest match of all candidates. ISideWith also confirmed we are the closest match.
If she is not, I may not vote for anyone. We cannot write-in vote in Oklahoma.

Probably because he's just as looney as they are, perhaps? 😆

Actually, that's just more Trumper nonsense out of you, LoB.Someone could have an effectively endless supply of money to campaign with and it doesn't matter if enough people are not voting for you.
In fact, we just saw that with Bloomberg spending 500million to get virtually nowhere.
This is a pathetic copout you Commie traitor.
Bernie is seen as the actual embodiment of a movement. He inspired millions to vote who may have otherwise not involved themselves in the process. Conversely, Bloomberg is a Billionaire egomaniac who simply entered the process to appease his own delusions.
If Bernie quits now it puts his entire campaign history into question.
