I'm pretty sure I've posted a small sample of the many reasons it can't be that old before and most of the pro-evolutionists either ignored it or brushed it aside and instead started talking about how far away the stars are or something similar.
😂dur👆

Here you go, Surtur:

https://www.icr.org/article/evidence-for-young-world/

https://www.creation.com/age-of-the-earth

The second link has a much more extensive list.

And yes, it's from a creation science website, but that doesn't change the fact that it lists only facts for the reasons the earth can't be nearly as old as mainstream science says it is. It's just that a non-creationist site would never dare show these facts.

So in your opinion, if the evidence is so clear, why does mainstream science fight so hard against the notion?

Ha ha, yeah... that's what I thought. A bunch of cowards who'd rather insult him behind his back rather than having the balls to debate him online.

Thanks for proving me right. 👆

Edit: that wasn't directed at you, Surtur, since you haven't been one of these cowards who've insulted him w/out him knowing it.

That position is as laughable as is Hovind's "debate" style or tactics. Especially when your position is coming from a book that is filled with hyperbole yet even that Hovind takes literally like man living to be a 1,000 years old from the old testament, lulz 😆

I feel bad for anyone he has taught with his homeschool curriculum.

@DDD: That's convenient. IOW's, you're scared. 😉

Hovind and I would have some things in common. I think you forgot I am Mormon.

We disagree on the big bang and I believe evolution is the instrument by which God guided the universe to result in us having this conversation.

Big Bang, too.

So if I tell him, "Yup, God did this. But...he did it via the Big Bang and Evolution" he'd have to update his material as we'd have nothing to debate.

YouTube video

The only reason a person who believes in god wouldn't wanna think god is real and that it created a universe in which human beings got where we are now via evolution is because they wanna feel special and feel like god specifically set out to create humans.

That pretty much sums up Mormonism except that Mormons believe that the universe is full of other sapient creatures that God also created because he wants them to grow and develop in a mortal existence.

It is clear beyond doubt at this point Flystar is just trolling for lulz.

I thought God was a man on another planet or some such?

So in your opinion, if the evidence is so clear, why does mainstream science fight so hard against the notion?

Because mainstream science needs the billions of years for their theory of big-bang and evolution to even be plausible (though honestly, imo, even w/triliions of years it's still quite stupid).

There could be many possible reasons for it but this one below may be one of the more likely ones:

Scientists who are secretly doubting the mainstream views are probably in fear of losing their jobs if they make their opinions public. For instance, how is an evolutionary biologist going to keep his or her job if he/she doubts evolution? More than that, how would evolutionary biology, itself, as a profession, survive if too much evidence was made widely known that it's not true (at least on the macro-level, micro-evolution is undisputable)?

Billions of years is of vital importance to the theory of evolution. W/out the billions of years, the theory looks even more stupid than it already does and no one could possibly defend the theory w/out having long periods of time available for evolution to take place. Most evolutionists already admit this. They must have billions of years or the theory is dead Actually, it's dead anyway, imo, but I digress..

I also imagine it would be quite difficult to go back and change all of the science books, museums, and other stuff that have been showing evolutionary theory as fact.

Most importantly, the theory of evolution, the big-bang, and extremely long periods of time are a necessary evil to be taught in order to help usher in the coming New World Order and, by extension, the Antichrist (which, I'm now afraid, is much closer than I thought it would be with what's currently going on in the world)...

Fun fact: The first thing Communist countries indoctrinate their children with is not communism, but instead darwinian evolution. People who have been indoctrinated with evolutionary ideas will be much more easily controlled during the one world government, one world currency, one world religion so-called "Utopia" that's coming in the near future.

This will be a tough time particulary for Christians who will be killed by the millions, if not billions.

Hawking wrote a book that disproved the big bang theory, idiot.

Just anti-Mormon stuff people made up to make Mormons look silly (as if you need to make up stuff to do that).

That idea came from the notion that within our universe, there is a star/planet that is nearest to God's realm and that place is Kolob. But what is not clear is whether or not this is just an arbitrary spot in the universe that God designated as the most holy and it does not refer to an actual physical distance from God.

Sort of like a Holiest of Holiest of Holies that exists within this universe.

Also, God's "time" is set according to the time structure of Kolob. What that time structure is, is not clear. Is it a revolution or rotation?

It's also specified as a "throne to govern the planets" in the universe so is it a star with a star system that has this universe's United Federation of Planets leadership in it or something?

Also, there are other theories that it was incomplete translations from Joseph Smith and Kolob referred to the local sun and the time system is set by Earth's orbit around the sun. Other Mormon scholars theorized it was the sun orbiting the galactic center.

Additionally, we don't know if it really meant star or if it meant planet. There is evidence that Joseph Smith had difficulty differentiating Planets and Stars.

It's gets crazier.

Some think the earth was manufactured near Kolob and then transported to this solar system and put into orbit around Sol (our local star).

All of this is speculation and we don't really know the importance beyond a science+religion curiosity. The concept of Kolob comes from a vision that the Prophet Abraham had about the Universe and how God created and organized it. So its actual importance is irrelevant to the point of the story it comes from - God organized the Universe including Time. That's it. That's supposed to be the take-away.

Also, after typing this all out, it seems like Warhammer 40K stuff.

So where does Xenu come into all this

LMAO. Hovind chewed Aron up and spit him out lol. He was actually one of Kent's easier challengers. I still remember well their little back and forth that went on for weeks.
