"Duuuuuhhh... herr deerrrrp!" 🤪

Alright, I've wasted enough time here today with you losers.

The challenge is still open to anyone who has the balls to take on Hovind in a debate. Though I'm sure none of you will. You'll all keep talking smack about him while hiding from him (especially the pussy SD lol) because you're all cowardly little shits.

Whatever. I'm done on here for today.

To turn the discussion into a different area: why do you guys think Obama waited so long to endorse Biden?

Nobody else was left and then he was like "yeah I choose Joe".

Dramatic Pause

Also, after typing this all out, it seems like Warhammer 40K stuff.

That belief system makes scientology jealous.

He didn't want to undercut another Democrat's chance to win and he wanted to unite the party behind the final candidate to give them that extra little push to defeat Trump.

Had he endorsed Warren, for example, he would have fractured the party and caused quite a bit of disunity. The Dems would still be licking their wounds by the time the general election season started.

However, Obama's stupid. Because the Dems spent 4 years trying to get Trump reelected and Obama's 'strategy' is short-sighted and part of the problem with the high-horse democrats. They love these kinds of "strategic platitudes" that do more to virtue signal than to actually provide some sort of strategic advantage.

If Obama had endorsed Sanders in 2019, the Dems would have a chance to beat Trump in Nov. No chance in hell, now. 😐

A lot of interesting points made!

Actually, it's custom for the previous president to not endorse the candidate of their party until there's a nomination or all but in name a nomination. Which Joe Biden is now.

The reason given is to not interfere with the so called will of the people. In reality, it'd be politically stupid party-wise for the previous president to endorse someone early and then that person turns out to be a turd no one likes. As a party, you want to always try and show unity. Which Obama did but playing in with tradition. Bush did too, as he waited to endorse McCain.

Granted, I suspect Trump will be a president to break this tradition and he'll probably endorse whichever of his shitty kids run in 2024 right off the bat.

edit: It definitely won't be Eric

edit2: God I hope it's Eric

Mr. Robtard, what you have just posted is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever read. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this thread is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

What I said is the reason. Obama literally said he would wait to endorse whoever won the nomination to help unify the party and that he believed the voters should select the nominee.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/elections/2020/02/27/why-obama-wont-endorse-biden-south-carolina-super-tuesday-nears/4890693002/

For a very thorough breakdown of the "logic" and "strategy" behind this whole mess, this article breaks it down including some of the friction the Democratic part had in 2016:

https://nationalinterest.org/blog/buzz/why-hasnt-barack-obama-endorsed-joe-biden-president-yet-129017

Where did you get your talking point, though? Right-wing websites whose interests are to try and make the Democrats look as dumb as possible?

You're just repeating what I said using different words. Obama waited to show unity within the party, as per tradition: "As a party, you want to always try and show unity. Which Obama did but playing in with tradition." -Robtard

Wow, nary a mention of tradition to be had from Obama or his Public Relations folks.

Are you suuuuuure you're not making up some stanky bewwwlshit?

It makes sense to me that Obama didn't publicly endorse anyone before the primaries had taken their course. Both personally and from a party strategy perspective there were a lot of downsides to doing so before.

I do suspect that him and other Democratic power brokers made sure that Klobuchar and Buttigieg would drop out before Super Tuesday, to stack the deck against their least favorite candidate Bernie Sanders.

Yeah but this reason doesn't hold up as it is clear Obama doesn't care about interfering with the will of the people.

Got anything else?

Obama: Joe you have my endorsement.

Biden: Thanks sonny. Who...who are you again?
