I never claimed anything like this would happen though. I don't think there will be some mass exodus. I am just curious how democrats will react.

And I wonder if we will see it on CNN, MSNBC, etc.

I don't think there will even be a mini-exodus over it. that's why I dismissed it

Lol wait CNN is featuring comments from his aides saying it was just a joke.

Oh this is gonna be fun.

"it was sarcasm"

only a valid defense if you're trump

It's not about a mass exodus happening, it's about how the democrats are lunatics when it comes to this stuff so I wanna see how the prominent dems handle it(if they even address it).

Lol so is it a valid defense? What do you think? Do you think he was joking?

I'm sure they'll handle it like every other rash of faux-outrage

his people claimed it, so it must be true....oh wait sorry, I got confused and was thinking of trump.

I honestly think Joe is senile. I think maybe he was trying to be hip I don't know.

Not at all, he makes a solid point, why would anyone black support the figurehead for the Alt-right?

Probably because Trump has literally done more for the black community than Obama or Bush Jr.

And the voters recognize that:

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 33% of Likely U.S. Voters think life for young black Americans has gotten better since Trump’s election.

By comparison, in July 2016, Obama’s final year in office, just 13% said life for young black Americans had gotten better since the election of the nation’s first black president.

Trump's approval among black voters is higher than anticipated:

https://www.blackenterprise.com/trumps-approval-rating-with-black-voters-may-be-higher-than-you-thought/

He's targetted and gotten better funding for historically black colleges than any other president.

He's targetted "school choice" to better enable successful education outcomes (the lack of ability to move between schools negatively impacts minorities especially black children).

A massive overhaul of criminal justice system in the First Step Act to help resolve some of the race-based disparities.

Expanding political "voting" offices to minority city centers to better enable black voters to participate in the system (enabling voting is among the black community to increase voting participation is pretty important).

https://www.delgazette.com/opinion/80155/trump-helping-black-communities-thrive

And black voters have become more vocal about their support for Trump as historically democatic black voters are becoming more vocal about their support for Trump:

https://www.inquirer.com/news/black-voters-donald-trump-philadelphia-pennsylvania-2020-20200212.html

Of course, this jobs creation stuff is completely gone, in my mind. All that work and progress Trump's administration made to helping drive up black labor force participation and driving down unemployment is gone due to COVID-19. Gone.

But Trump's support among black voters and the things he has done for the black community are not widely discussed in Mainstream Media. Almost no one talks about it. Because the MSM doesn't care about black voters or black issues unless a white man kills a black man. So we end up with these weird narratives such as "Trump empowers racists and alt-right black-haters" that function more as red herrings from the facts.I shouldn't have to go digging to find the truth. These things should be readily known and available to any American who wants to know about them.

But Blexit from the Democratic Party has been a thing for almost 2 years, now.

And black people, as I previously noted, who were historically Democrats, are showing up in support of Trump.

So much so that Democratic ThinkTanks are trying to scramble and figure out how to stop and/or recapture black voters before they lose too many to Trump. One of the strategies to come out of those ThinkTanks is the mail-in-ballots talking point. By racializing the mail-in-ballot discussion, they can paint Trump and the Republicans are racists that are trying to vote. It might be effective.

I admit part of it is laziness, but another reason I don't attempt to go out of my way to give these people evidence is because I see how they treat you when you do. It doesn't matter what you show them. They don't care.

You could do detailed research or you could take a picture of a plate of wet noodles and the response would be the same.

we already agreed that this will sway pretty much nobody.

If I've learned anything about die-hard anti-Trumpers (and I have) it's that they never admit when things are going bad for them or when they've clearly lost. It's almost like they think that if they don't actually admit to defeat, then it won't truly be a loss for them.

It happened when Trump won the 2016 election. Leftists claimed it wasn't really a loss because Hillary "won the popular vote" or because Putin/the russians "helped Trump win" which they didn't, btw.

They claimed it again when Kavanaugh was successfully appointed to the SC. Leftists pretended like it wasn't actually a loss for them because, in their simple minds, he was "proven" to be a rapist and thus is not a legitimate judge.

They keep claiming it when they keep saying Trump's wall is not being built even though there are actual photos of it being so.

They pretended they didn't lose when Brexit happened either... or when Boris Johnson was elected Prime Minister. PutinBot, for example, who is an actual Brit, pretended like his side won that election lol.

They keep denying they are losing in regards to the #WalkAway and #Blexit movements...

There are many, many more examples but I think everyone gets the idea.

Black Democratic primary voters are the reason Biden is the presumptive nominee. They overwhelmingly support him in near Obama-level numbers. Anyone who thinks this is going to affect his standing with black voters is just wrong. If anything, they will cosign it, and it will reaffirm their support. It is just desperate Trumpers flinging shit at the wall, and hoping something sticks.
