Not at all, he makes a solid point, why would anyone black support the figurehead for the Alt-right?
Probably because Trump has literally done more for the black community than Obama or Bush Jr.
And the voters recognize that:
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 33% of Likely U.S. Voters think life for young black Americans has gotten better since Trump’s election.By comparison, in July 2016, Obama’s final year in office, just 13% said life for young black Americans had gotten better since the election of the nation’s first black president.

Trump's approval among black voters is higher than anticipated:

He's targetted and gotten better funding for historically black colleges than any other president.
He's targetted "school choice" to better enable successful education outcomes (the lack of ability to move between schools negatively impacts minorities especially black children).
A massive overhaul of criminal justice system in the First Step Act to help resolve some of the race-based disparities.
Expanding political "voting" offices to minority city centers to better enable black voters to participate in the system (enabling voting is among the black community to increase voting participation is pretty important).

And black voters have become more vocal about their support for Trump as historically democatic black voters are becoming more vocal about their support for Trump:

Of course, this jobs creation stuff is completely gone, in my mind. All that work and progress Trump's administration made to helping drive up black labor force participation and driving down unemployment is gone due to COVID-19. Gone.
But Trump's support among black voters and the things he has done for the black community are not widely discussed in Mainstream Media. Almost no one talks about it. Because the MSM doesn't care about black voters or black issues unless a white man kills a black man. So we end up with these weird narratives such as "Trump empowers racists and alt-right black-haters" that function more as red herrings from the facts.I shouldn't have to go digging to find the truth. These things should be readily known and available to any American who wants to know about them.
