I think people in general are underestimating biden's chances of winning.

Indeed, it all depends on the on-the-ground game plan in the end. Though, my understanding is analysts are these days converging around the opinion that Trump's victory wasn't as astounding as it seemed on the night, at least it wasn't a genuine buck of established trends in terms of blue collar voting in the face of a rather detached campaign ran by Hilary, in the style of Dukakis (or so im told). If things remain more traditional than we'd have it then all Trump needs to do is say nothing about raising taxes and he'll be fine.

It all depends on how many people are willing to put their morals aside.

It does seem people always act consistently in politics. Or utterly inconsistently if you disagree with them.

Biden said he would not sign a Medicare for All bill that was unfunded. But do not let facts get in the way of your sour grapes masquerading as righteous indignation.

The facts are he doesnt support Medicare for all.

Youre being a moron insulting Bernie supporters for not supporting.

And your own righteous indignation of trying to force voters into picking “the lesser of 2 evils” every single election brings into question what kind of morals you yourself have.

^ for not supporting your choice*

Youre being a moron insulting Bernie supporters for not supporting.

And this is one of the reasons Democrats lost in 2016, that particular mentality will do the same.

Agreed. I'm a libtard so I obviously want a M4A plan and lots of research on a UBI. End drug war, overhaul immigration, etc. But you won't find me slippin' and votin' for Biden.

There may not be debates at all this year though because of Covid.

Plus a big thing working against Trump this time is that he's no longer, by any logical metric, an underdog this time. He's the presumptive winner. I think a lot of people voted for Trump thinking he had no chance just because they wanted to vote for an underdog. I know several people who did this, voted for Trump not because they actually wanted him to win but because they thought he had no shot at all and didn't really want to vote for Clinton, and then when he won they regretted doing that.

No longer the underdog and no longer the "establishment outsider", which was the reason many of his supporters claimed they voted for him in 2016. Trump's every bit of the "establishment" now.

Granted, he still has the majority of those clowns in 2020, but potentially you only need a small percentage-flip to sway it another way.

Yeah I mean just maybe being associated with the "Democrats" wasn't the main priority of Bernie supporters.

Just maybe they liked Bernie as a person, and liked his policies, and trusted him specifically.

And maybe they didn't want to blindly give their allegiance to his party regardless of whether he's in charge or not.

That's also true. Berniebros are certainly not onboard with the Democratic-Republican warmongering policies and killing more brown people.

Medicare for All is not his preferred plan, but that does not mean he will not sign it into law if a funded bill passes Congress. You are going to have to come to terms with the fact that you cannot always get everything you want in life, and start looking for ways to at least get some of it.

"Muh fee-fees!" is a great reason to vote against your own interests.

Unless or until that changes, your priorities will never be theirs.

In this case, it would be more like, "Muh-fundamental-issues." For millions of Berniebros, they are so fundamental that they don't vote straight-ticket Dem.

Nope, free healthcare works here in the U.K. A system we began when we were in HUGE debt post world war 2, yet the result of that investment was our GDP massively grew over the next few decades.

So no need to pander to the elites and settle.

Change might take generations, but will only happen if voters dont fall for this “Either, OR” and “Face Facts you change wont happen” attitude.

In any case thats just my take on it. If you have a different opinion/take thats fine. But what makes you a jerk is when you act all condescending to Bernie supporters for not voting for your choice.

Any thoughts on The NY Gov being corrupt?

He totally wants to run for President in 2020 if not then 2024

The US economy and almost all other economies also grew in that same period of time.

But I read that the reason the UK doesn't have such a massive unemployment problem is partially due to their employment contract policies and NHS.

Exactly, which is also why in 2016 some previous Bernie voters threw votes at Trump, something like 10%?

10% of Bernie supporters were idiots in 2016? Meh, not surprising.
