Georgia's Senate aren't confirmed yet, normal and special election.
Oh, yeah, it's possible Georgia could flip Blue in the Senate as well in Jan 2021. Would be epic.

That Lady in the special will probably win though. Had a good business career and is a good speaker when it comes to healthcare, although she believes Obamacare failed, she makes a good case that doctors have fled Georgia because of it.

I kind of want it to flip blue. But that would just make a 50-50 senate. It needs to be 51-49 senate.

If the Dems control the House, Senate, and White House, then we might see some policy changes. It could be bad like Silent Master was talking about. It could be good with a trickle of good change?

We do need improvements, though.

Harris would make it 51 though in the senate.

^ This is correct, when the Senate is tied at 50/50, the sitting VP is the 101st vote.

Michigan Lawmakers To Meet Trump Amid Efforts To Overturn Election Results

Two Republican lawmakers from Michigan are set to meet with President Trump Friday as he continues his unprecedented efforts to overturn the results of the Nov. 3 election.

Trump is sitting down with the leaders of the state House and Senate ahead of the state canvassing board meeting on Monday, where the election results are expected to be certified. President-elect Joe Biden won the state and maintains a lead of more than 155,000 votes, but Trump has baselessly charged the results there and in several other states he lost are fraudulent.

However, at a White house press briefing Friday, press secretary Kayleigh McEnany denied Trump would be pressuring the Michigan lawmakers. "This is not an advocacy meeting," she said, adding, "there will be no one from the campaign there. He routinely meets with lawmakers from all across the country."

There are two Republicans and two Democrats on the Michigan canvassing board. If they deadlock, Trump apparently hopes the GOP-controlled Legislature will appoint their own electors and overturn the popular vote, a scenario election experts say is unlikely and possibly illegal.

Sidney Powell, a member of President Trump's legal team, told Fox's Lou Dobbs on Thursday, "The entire election frankly in all the swing states should be overturned and the legislatures should make sure that the electors are selected for Trump." -snip

I don't get it. Her seat would be net-same?

AP already says the results are 50 GOP. So best outcome is 50 Dems, 50 GOP.

What does Harris have to do with this? Her vacant spot would likely go to a Dem.

Or are you saying that's not true and it could flip making it 49-51?

The VP presides over the senate and in the case of tie votes they can be the tie breaker.

So the senate could be 50-50 without Harris holding her actual senate seat today but due to the role of the VP would be given the deciding vote. It's probably one of the bigger roles defined of the VP.

How often do tie-breaker votes happen, though?

If it’s split 50-50 then pretty often most likely. Though for a lot of things the dems could probably get Collins, Murkowski and Romney on their side.

Lol if we had a 50-50 senate I can only imagine, I don't know the history on 50-50 voting throughout the history of the senate. 😮

Also Georgia was certified earlier for Biden.

Well, neither do I!

But I'm sure google could tell us if this could become a big deal

However, it's likely that the two GOP senators will win in Georiga.

Yeah. I think the idea of Georgia totallly flipping blue is really unlikely. Dems will be very lucky to win one of the seats imo. The state is still conservative. Biden winning it was more about conservatives not likening Trump. There were something like 50,000 people who voted for Biden who also voted for the two Republican senators. Shows that it was more a rejection of trump than conservative principles.

You actually didn't know that. 😐

Even I knew that!
