This result should have any talk about a Trump election big in 2024 squashed as soon as possible by the Republicans (if they exist)....

Not only did he lose the a re-election bid, he was largely responsible for losing the two seats needed for Senate control. Goes to show you he is a terrible candidate.

Unlikely that will happen. Dems would have had to have lost this election for them to turn to a more socialist/progressive leader for the next one.

As for the Republicans, Trump lost, but he lost with record numbers. So with or without Trump, Trumpism will live on. Theyre unlikely to go with an actual progressive Republican. And will likely go for another fake populist like Trump.

It’s possible, if not likely, that all the rigged election talk is directly responsible for suppressing their own voters. Gop vote was low while dems votes big.

It was a comedy of errors.

A combination of the rigged elections plus the inability to get a measly $600 cheque out. It also didn't help that one of the GOP candidates was filthy rich.
