I never once said the EC was part of this process, but it is quite possible Mayor Pete will be declared winner while at the same time Bernie overall gets more votes. In fact this is why *both* are now claiming victory.

So one more time: democrats will either go with the popular vote winner or cease crying over the electoral college come the next election. This is not optional 🙂

If Trump were to lose the popular vote and win via the EC again in 2020, that's not his fault, he's playing by the corrupt rules in place. He would whinge about it again though.

The EC needs to be torn down, but Congress needs to do that.
