Speed is speed. A person's body will move as fast as it can move.
If a person's top speed while running is 4m/s, you can't expect him to move faster in a fight! The person will move his body in a fight at a rate of 4m/s or less! That's common sense.
So you saying that a person's moving speed has nothing to do with combat speed (which in fact, requires moving your body) is wrong.
Example:
Mr. Mayweather can punch at a speed of 2m/s, his top speed is of 1m/s. Usain Bolt can travel at a speed of 2m/s and hit at a speed of 1.5m/s. Both have an arm of length 0.5m and have to hit a target that is 4m away.
Usain Bolt will hit the target before, regardless of Mayweather punching faster. So it's EVIDENT that combat speed is in fact influenced by how fast you move
SURE! Once the opponent is within your punching/kicking reach, then moving your body becomes useless. Otherwise, i've already proven my point. [/B]

I did state that Supes battled Faora but she was clearly a villain first & foremost. A threat to Smallvile & Martha. Her gender was irrelevant simply because she followed & answered to Zod. Super was fighting & trying to stop a killer with superpowers.
Now compare Faora with Carol Danvers.
You honestly believe a character like Superman who has always invoked "The American Way" is going to battle against an American woman???
It's not about powers & feats, it's about Superman's moral compass that leads to his own demise.

a) CM's being touted as the most powerful character in the Marvel Universe. If Thanos can decimate half the universe & CM is stronger than him then destroying a single sun is a simple feat.

He destroyed half the universe with the infinity gauntlet. She can’t destroy the sun.
Regardless of Thanos using the gauntlet, the fact still stands CM is being touted as the most powerful character in the Marvel universe.

You're still dodging that crucial question, which movie version of Superman do you envision taking on CM?

Have you watched the movie?
1. She destroyed a Kree battleship like destroying a sand castle.
2. Travelling at the speed of light.
3. She swam across Kree balistic missiles with a smile on her face. She was getting crashed by Kree fighters and getting shot by these with not a single scratch. Again, she destroyed an entire Kree Battleship while enjoying life.
Carol is on another tier, sorry
