You missed the point of the story. He was absorbing the universe to gain its energy for the fight. Both AM and Darkseif were doing it not make a big boom and universe gone. No different then Earth 3 universe being destroyed but showed AM and Grail on earth 3

Concerning the Convergence scans to prove Darkseid "didnt destroy/absorb earth2 as it was still there after convergance"
yeeeeeah you might want to mention that was a newly recreated "Earth 2". Actually to be exact is wasn't even their earth they just took it over which was dead and was rebuilt and came back to life due to Talos, Brianiac and Alan Scott. Then it got transported to their universe by Talos as their original earth was gone
Heck it even mentions that in the scans you posted (also scans you didn't include which you should have)

Those scans don’t disprove anything though. That timeline were altered though and they even said “Each earth has evolved”. He actually overlaped a few times lines with the pre and post flashpoint universes. Brianic said everything would reset and return to when he brought them here....but then where was Darkseid and his forces? How were the avatars alive again? How could their be two earths? It was a reset for the universe which is the most logical and simple solution.
Your also acting like the events in constatine never happened and are completely ignoring on-panel statements and direct showings. heaven closing its gates and running, Darkseid and his forces absorbing the souls of the universe and even directly stated universal death was occurring. Dormammu's Dark Dimension is Not a traditional "pocket verse," because it's far bigger.
The Dark Dimension is made up of "countless" pocket dimensions,
and, it was originally a regular universe that fractured into what it became.
One infinite universe, broke into a group of endless mini universes, the Dark Dimension.
It's been labeled both a pocket and universe on panel, but I described its true meaning.
It's no doubt a special case and open to interpretation. 👆
