When I was a kid, watching Phantom Menace, I thought Binks was funny and I enjoyed his character.

It wasn't until years later that I started reading about Prequel Trilogy hate. I didn't even know it was a thing. Most people I knew loved the Prequel movies.

And then I found out that people had this irrational hate of Jar Jar Binks. As if Jar Jar was the worst thing to ever happen to Star Wars. Then Some people argued against that saying, "No, man...Ewoks. Jar Jar is a better version of Ewoks."

Then the arguments got worse and people said Luke Skywalker was the worst thing about Star Wars. With some even stating that Obi Wan Kenobi, in the original trilogy, was the worst Star Wars character because he should have just scared Palpatine (when Ben became a force ghost) every time the emperor tried to poop so that he'd die of an exploded colon.

So I don't worry too much about Lucas loving Binks. Binks is a fun character. I enjoyed him a lot in TPM. No one can take that from me. 🙂

Lucas was lazy too from what I heard and not well organized. Glad he is not in charge anymore.

He cant even make a movie these days, he would have not even been able to make star wars without Steven Speilberg.
