Remove the meter long claws and its just a block followed by another killing position. She could have killed her twice. She didn't because, well, ages Kitty Pryde.

She fought an opponent who has claws. She blocked it with her hand, which no martial artist would do.
She was only able to walk away, because she had abilities. Not skill, because no skilled MA would do that (block claws with your bare hands, lol).
