Nope, not fake news. It's pretty damn clear what he was implying when he said that it'd be a short war because the government has nukes. What do you do with nukes besides launch them? More specifically, what do you do with nukes to make a war a very "short war?" There's only one thing that he could've been implying w/that statement.
Of course he tried to walk it back because he had no choice. I guarantee you if Trump or probably any other republican as well had said it and then tried to backpeddle it wouldn't matter one bit to the lib media or the left in general. They'd still be attacking him nonstop for it.
