I agree with pretty much everything you said here but many people who don't believe get extremely irritated and angry when you try to force it on them. Just be prepared to be called all kinds of names and be mocked by them for your beliefs.

Indeed and I'm pretty sure in the USA crime(including shootings) have been steadily going down over the past few decades.

As a fellow Christian you want my advice?

Come up with secular arguments for Christian morality. You'll have an easier time persuading atheists on that front than converting them. I know from experience.

I mean yes it's terrible what's happening in Chicago rn but there was a time in the 80s when Miami had similar numbers of homicides to Chicago today (500-600 per year) despite only being a fraction of the size.

I think what's increased are high profile mass shootings... And I believe a lot of that is down to copycats and people being inspired by shit like Columbine.
