Yes, maybe you don't consider that long, but if its awful it feels like 4 hours.

It's pretty much as long as the Infinity War, then --- and from what I understand, it's not even 10% as good (no surprise here).

There aren't many filmmakers who can make long movies while maintaining their quality.

Peter Jackson specializes in those and usually does a damn good job (extended LotR: RotK = more than 4 hours). But he is one of the few.

holy crap, how bad is the box office gonna flop

it's bad enough with covid as it is...

Well there may be some returning revenue from HBO Max. It should at least do better than Tenet considering both movie cost roughly the same amount.

the revenue from HBO Max I would assume was a set amount

since HBO bought the right of streaming the movie from them

I don't see this movie making any money

They might put it in the theaters again after theaters open, but that will only draw very few people since everybody by then will know it's a shit movie

Many more theatres were open for Tenets release. And Tenet wasnt put on streaming simultaneously.

Theyre counting on making money from new subscriptions for HBO Max.

This will be a massive loss to them on the face of it, but subscriptions (who stay) bring in money forever.

But think about it, this movie was delayed by a whole year (pre-Covid) and then they put it straight to HBO Max at a time when Covid cases are really high. I think they knew this sucked from Day 1 so were never expecting this to be a billion dollar movie or anything.

Re: Wonder Woman 1984

This was probably the best part if the film

Cheeta was the only thing that kept surprising me, she was a bad *****

While this is true, I can't imagine WW84 trying to have a theatrical release worldwide now given the increase in COVID-19 cases. It would probably loose even more money if it tried so maybe relying on new HBO Max subscriptions isn't really that bad.

Thats true, but they could have delayed it again like Black Widow and No Time to Die have done.

my guess is ww84 gonna be released again once the lockdown is over

but by that point no one would've want to see this disaster anymor

Pine had her wrapped around his finger

Worst movie ever made

Worse than Thor 2

In Black Widows cases I would have figured Mulan bombing might have influenced being delayed again with no release on Disney +. Solid point on "No time to Die"...though now I'm nit sure another releases would help WW84.

Shame really as it has one of the better villains of DCEU in Maxwell Lord.

TASM 2 is the worst.

Was so f*cking bad, Sony allowed Marvel to use Spider-Man for MCU...

Well, i'm sitting at home relaxing so I might as well watch it. Shame to hear how awful it is.

WW's quality, or lack thereof, had nothing to do with them releasing it on HBO Max. After all, they are releasing all of their blockbusters on it next year.

I still think Faora's fight style is the coolest woman I've seen in DCEU. She is just so quick, simple and merciless.

It was awful and seemed like the longest movie I ever watched. Was it a Wonder Woman film or Spiderman because all she did was swing from her lasso the entire movie. Max Lord was annoying and Cheetah was underwhelming and miscast. Terrible movie. Its right there with Batman vs Superman and Justice League bad.
