America is rapidly losing its sphere of influence, and Trump is a last ditch escape attempt before the anaconda asphyxiates what it used to be.
If Trumpy wants to use his Art of the Deal negotiating prowess to avert this raise in Tariffs and 'strike a deal' then by all means let him. I'd be impressed. Otherwise this move is just shooting himself in the foot.
