Given the history of most video game films, would say be happy this is happening at all. With recent actual good ones though like Rampage and Detective Pikachu, maybe the VG movie curse will finally die, slowly but surely.

Thought people hated Rampage?

It's not like those games had much of a plot, So yeah the movie was accurate.

I’ve never known a trailer to have such a negative response that they had to pretty much change the entire thing

"Just" Sonic. But yeah.

It still got them a shitload of attention (hundreds of fb memes getting reposted everywhere), so they're probably happy about it.

I say pretty much the entire movie though because if they’re changing the character, surely that means changing a lot of things cause they gotta CGI him into a lot of scenes

It’s a waste of time and money, I got a bad feeling even with a “fixed” sonic the movie will still be shit. It’ll still make a shit tonne of money even if they hadn’t “fixed” him.

Can at least give em credit , that they’re doing what they said they would and actually listened to feedback.
