Superman vs Thor in a...

Started by cdtm3 pages

Pretty much a non battle.

One of them has thousands of years of practice drinking and partying all day like a Viking, and would be a much better fit for the pickup scene.

Heroes are flawed. Accept it.

Flawed =/= completely ****ing retarded.

Hal has always been written like that, though. It's his entire character.

As for Wally, the whole thing has been an accident.

There's limits to how far he should be written like that, though.

Wally's characterization ranged from good to awful, imo. His grief was good. Everything else was shite.

It was just a single panel.

Wally had every reason to behave like that, though. DC has basically abandoned the character for no reason, tried to make him black, then when it didn't work, they picked him up again with no idea on what to do with him (since Barry was there, too).

A single, dumb, pointless panel.

You say that like it's okay to completely nuke his character. There are a bunch of DC characters that would do what Wally did. Wally isn't one of them.

Pointless...?

It's a tradition, bro.

I felt so betrayed... Tom King is an ass.

Plus Blue and Gold dumping on.

Unfortunately everyone does that now. Giffen's dynamic duo were never remotely the Stooges every writer since portrays them as. That was G'nort's bit.

I love this one, yeah 👆

Everything about it is great.

Slipping under shower is something that can happen to average Joe.

But aside from that... ring fails to wake him up, actually is concerned enough to apply the healing aura to Jordan and leaves looking for someone more worthy 😂

Hal is the worst.

It's Tom King being an *******.

Sorry, I just really have a LOT of issues with that ****ing mini.

I don't think anyone comes out of that arc looking good, tbh.

Not just you, plenty of kmcers seem to hate it.

I'm just trying to understand why.

My opinion is that it's a shaky premise executed terribly. Which, after what imo is an excellent run on Batman for Tom King, is just disappointing as hell.

I do love the art, though.

I agree that much, compared to his Batman's run, it's pretty average writing.

And we all know it won't have any consequences --- I mean, hasn't Wally been "forgiven" and released already?

I'm not sure, but I think so. As much as I hate the rumour mill, there were a fair few articles stating that King's status at DC was declining, so if they dislike him that much, ignoring the stuff he wrote wouldn't be unbelievable.

It's a retread of Identity Crisis. Throws Wally under the bus the same way it threw Sue Dibney, having him do some morally grey, if not downright villainous, things to cover his rear. And the plot twist was a bit of an arse pull, as speed force lightning has never been a Captain Atom style wmd before this.

Gonna be honest, I like Identity Crisis. It does have its issues, but I think it has more good than bad, and it humanises a lot of the heroes without going too far.

Agreed, At least Identity Crsis didn't butcher a main chracter

True, unless you count Wally getting tagged by Slade, which even then is just a not-great way of executing a solid idea.

Both of them go to a edm music festival for 4 days

they need to bring girls back to their tents or porta potties to have sex with them, who will bang more/hotter girls

superpowers not allowed to use, no raping

At a festival, they literally just have to get there and say "come to my tent".

Superman wins because he can speedblitz how many fit in a tent at once.
