It's like in Seinfeld when they were using forks on candy bars. Just unnatural.
Found it!
The origin of the phrase “to go Dutch” is traced back to the 17th century when England and the Netherlands fought constantly over trade routes and political boundaries. The British use of the term “Dutch” had a negative connotation for the Netherlanders were said to be stingy.
Not sure if i believe that or not... lookaround

Genius how can you see ignored posters?
I used to wonder stuff like this myself, mainly because I thought "Put on 'ignore' List" was a figure of speech people used, slang updated for the Internet era, if you will. And I imagine someone reading this in "archive" format, or reading this as an unregistered guest might still wonder the same, especially as they won't be able to view any images from this thread without out of the ordinary effort.
As it turns out, however, for registered users of KMC, accessible via each user's customizable control panel, there actually is a literal "Ignore" list that you can add posters to.
It blanks out whatever they write.
However, it still leaves their screen name.
So although you can't see what they wrote, you can still tell THAT they wrote something.
Notice what a portion of this page would look like if I put and kept Riv himself on "ignore" ...
Hope this helps.
