After what happened at the embassy, if Trump hadn't strongly responded then he and America would've been seen as weak by the Iranians which would've encouraged them even more to conduct terrorist actions against us. Just ignore, pooty. He's not very bright.
We were seen as being very weak under Obama which is why there was a muslim terror attack against us so often and ISIS was running wild all over the place in ME and elsewhere.. We don't need more Obama-like weakness in our leaders.
