What is the topic behind your handle?

Using 70's CB radio speak and craving a time before Smartphones. Even though I have the name Putinbot1, most long term users here know me by the handle Whirlysplat, but why Whirlysplat? Does it allude to crashed helicopters? No, nothing so morbid. It comes from a sketch from a British Comedian about shit. The vid is below.

I saw the sketch and discovered I was Whirly. Why are you who you are? Why are you PVS or Backfire or Surtur? Why that choice?

I'm pretty sure most people know the story behind my name, I wanna change it but so many people here know me as Jman.

It'd be weird having a new name.

I dunno, I thought the character Surtur from the comics was cool.
