The Living Tribunal (since 1990) was an omniversal power: (left scan)
and was the "representative force" of TOAA during IG saga 1991: (middle scan)
and had the "authority" of TOAA .... during IG saga 1991: (right scan)
------------------------------------------------------------------
AND yet still ... The LT had to gauge his power, determining if he had enough ...
... as if being an Omniversal power plus packing backing from TOAA wasn't enuff. 🙂
Damn, that classic IG was something special!
Stalemate ... no potentially definitive winner is ever disclosed. 👆
And, even if, the LT would've won, it would've been a reality ending battle.
Remarkable!! ... Classic IG!

👆Multiversal > Universal most of the time.
This may be true under certain conditions, and is likely the case for the retcon of the Infinity Gauntlet. However, this thread is talking about the classic IG. Is there proof that it wasn't Multiversal? If so, it would be great if someone could show this. So far Mr. M seems to be the only one showing that the Classic IG was indeed Multiversal. I don't see why he doesn't clear?
There is no feat for IG beyond universal level in classic days.

So much bullshit.

The classic IG was never stated to be Multiversal to my knowledge and I haven't seen any proof that it was. I don't have to prove a negative.

The LT was "representing the forces" of TOAA and came with TOAA's "authority."
Therefore, LT was infinitely beyond multiversal.

was literally OVER 100 universeS away from 616 when he merged 616 with the duplicate 616.
In fact! ... Magus NEVER hung out inside the 616 universe.
He literally remained in his personal universe 100 realitieS away from 616.
In fact, Magus entered the 616 universe for literally like a second: Only to kidnap Warlock. 👆

Starlin's CCU, made Thanos the embodiment of the entire 616 universe. 👆
Yet, in Starlin's on panel opinion regarding CCUs vs the IG:
--------------------------------------------------------------
The Goddess collected 30 CCUs and merged them into one:

Eventually, the Goddess would've conquered All RealitieS with the 30 CCUs:
--------------------------
Yet, Starlin, via Surfer, tells us what he thinks about 30 CCUs vs the IG:
"Experience has shown that the CCUs are nearly all-powerful ...
... the IG is a far more potent force"
