Soulfire Darkseid vs Thanos W/IG

who wins

Thanos

I don't see any version of Darkseid competing with Thanos with the Infinity Gems.

Misremembered. It was 10 times for each soul of a New God, and there hundreds of thousands New Gods.

So if we assume that Darkseid absorbed 200,000 New Gods and that Darkseid absorbed them one after another we end up with:

(...(((a+b)×10 + c)×10 + d)×10...) = (a+b)×10^200,000 + O(c, d, f, ...) where if a ~ b ~ c ~d ~ ... then O ~ 10% of the total power and therefore irrelevant.

So we're looking at a power ~2×10^200,000 × base Darkseid.

Quick question: How would that translate into feats or is that just for scaling?

Was Soul Fire Darkseid, or any part of DOTNG canon?

I think the only thing that is debatable is whether the Source was actually the source

The confusion first arose from Final Crisis - Secret Files where it stated the Source can't be halved due to it's nature

However, the DOTNG is a direct continuiation from Countdown( Which is undoubtly canon)

The title says it all! For months now readers have witnessed the unimaginable and unthinkable as New Gods across the DCU have seemingly died, with Lightray's death in COUNTDOWN the biggest of them all. Now, the carnage continues but the mystery and adventure is just beginning! Jim Starlin — master of the cosmic odyssey — writes and illustrates this epic tale of death and destruction on a scale never seen before. With a cast of hundreds and cameos by the entire DCU, this intergalactic 8-part series cannot be missed!

The event was also mentioned in Countdown itself
https://ibb.co/nDTtZPP

Later bios also including it as canon

So like I said. The only thing seems 'not canon/debatable' is the Source really is the Source. Aside from that, DOTNG is 100% canon

Souffle Darkseid sounds like it could be an interesting dessert.

Wrong as usual. Darkseid effortlessly destroys Thanos.

soulfire darkseid was nothing impressive dude, he merged with the souls of new gods but he has no feats. Death of New God completely shit on dc and made the source a joke, the story isn't canon either as none of it was adapt into later new god's storyline

basically stalin doesn't know shit about dc, synnar and soulfire darkseid are perfect example of shitty writing

if you ask stalin himself he would tell you IG is more powerful than Soulfire

if that story is canon it made the source look like a joke

when the source was actually implied to be part representation of the presence/the overvoid

I mean, low showings are still canon.

Well, like I said before. The story itself is definitely canon

However, the 'Source' that appeared in that story may not be the real Source( See above). You can argue it is possible that just Anti-Life Entity pretended to be the Source

the whole story contradict with the later new god interpretations
