Watched a late showing last night.
The Good: Bale did a good job and Portman was decent and looked great as Thor, being blonde and fit suits her. Korg was funny at times. Some parts of the final battle were good
The Bad: Just about everything else. 85-90% of this film felt like it was written for the 12 and under crowd and was still bad even for that segment
The Ugly: Most of he humor in this was so forced it was cringe. The GoTG scenes were throwaway, bad writing brings on dialed in axcting. The kid Thors, just awful
Really disjointed with this, as Ragnarok was goofy, but still a very fun ride and one of the best MCU films, while this is one of the worst, if not the worst. Waititi went "full retard" with this one, and I'm a fan of his.
edit: Was everyone fighting on set? The vibe and chemistry was pure shit.

Well I liked it. No where near as good as Ragnarok. Not one of MCUs best. But certainly not the shit fest everyones making it out to be.Also mid credit scene was dope.
Mostly agree with this.
I love Taika Waititi's work, but I think it's time for him to move on, and to steer Thor back in a more serious direction. I think they let Taika go too far this time; they gave him a lot of slack because of Ragnarok, and now... 😬
I re-watched Steven Spielberg's 1941 on Prime last year, for the first time in decades. My reaction at the end was "Well...that was a LOT of a LOT." I thought of that after seeing this.
Thor is my favourite Marvel character and I'm glad he's just gotten more popular with every movie and the box office just gets bigger each time, but I don't want the franchise to jump the shark and he has to go away for many years.
This film is third for me, behind Ragnarok and the first Thor movie. (I still like The Dark World, but it's fourth.)

I agree they took the joking too far. And though Ragnarok mixed it with a load of bad things happening, this didnt really, except for the one plot which I do think a lot of audiences will find emotional.
