The difficulty with Superman is there is nothing that changes between a 'regular' Superman that people like to use while comparing to highs of other characters -- one that would be getting roughed up by the team after a healthy fight -- and one that is fundamentally so powerful they would be fodder to him. It's just a decision to do it.
