Clark is never written to go out and beat powerful heralds, even when he’s mind controlled.
He’s the one that gets called on to beat the villain that beat the team.
But I would say one of his best showings is beating the Probes by himself after he stopped holding back, and those Probes did beat some powerful teams.

Original, Golden, Bronze, Pre, Post, New 52, Rebirth?
Superman and Gladiator are not peers. They are peers in the sense that Superman allows him to hit him a few times.
Gladiator’s insane showings are nothing to Superman’s kicking it up showings. Let alone Superman’s own insane showings. Any feats Gladiator has, Superman has done them weakened, and barley trying.
Superman has Gladiator in all stats, it’s not even funny.

Which is why his name keeps popping up in these types of threads. I'd like to straight up see him beat a herald level team without any obfuscation. It would put an end to these arguments

I named a whole team - he beat like 30 of them. One alone was taking WW apart. One was fighting Flash etc etc.
