Why is prostitution even a thing?

What I mean by that, is that pron is perfectly legal. Why not mask prostitution activities as "Man on the street" porn, then? You can even do it out of your car, perfectly legal.

India outlawed porn recently for good reason. Prostitution fosters the spread of disease, and that alone is reason to ban it imo.

Here in the states, they have pretty strict regulations on disease checks.

At least in theory. The fact the industry is so large, and outbreak incidents so few, is probably proof enough they do make a real effort to enforce those rules.

It would have to be set up and regulated for

Tax Reporting and collection of Sales Tax
Zoning, Permits
STI Compliance
Form Filling
Regular state and federal audits and certification for safe practice

Prostitution seems like it's pretty close to being 100% legal now though, even if you live in a place where it's illegal, just pay the girl extra to film it and boom! It's gone from prostitution to pornography. You're now a film maker.

It should be legal and regulated on some level. eg Like a whore can sell herself, but it can't be within 1,000 yards of a school and the sex has to be performed behind closed doors, no cars or back alleys.

It could also have a positive side effect of settling down some incels (eg like our Kurk) before they go postal.

I do all the maintenance on my personal vehicle short of anything requiring a lift. I have also rebuilt a lawn-mower engine and am very interested in engineering systems for converting historical cars to electrical drive. I am quite the self-sufficient person, so don't you worry.
