if you discount that showing and go with his best ones, bt should take this imo. be a tough fight though.

He has a tough history to follow anyways. In Spidey, he's a leader of a major cartel, then Bru has him living out of some run down apartment. Then he's a common thug for hire hero hunter in P&I, when he's never been anything less then honorable and above henching (The Hand recruitment was all part of a plan under Bru. Is that something a thug for rent would do?)

His most consistent showings ironically happen in the non canon Spider-Girl series.

Let's be 100% honest, for a second.

BT was a big badass... in his first appearances against Spider-Man. IF we take Spider-Man seriously, which we obviously don't have to, based on him getting buttraped by anyone with even a low degree of skill level.

Later? Nothing special. One-shotting DD... who had a flu at the time... wow?

Getting choked by Shadowland DD (pre-Beast mode)... wow?

Being in certain story arcs just because he was black... wow?

Teaming up with Nagan (LOL) and getting destroyed by Danny Rand , who didn't bother to use his super-powers... wow?

Hawkmen, Hawkgirls and Hawkwomen all still suck, though. They are poorly written characters whose histories and abilities change with every month.

Current Hawkman series is pretty awesome, though.

But... you'd say the same thing even if it was complete trash... that's what you get paid for.

Let's not pretend that Hawkman doesn't have beastly showings in his own right:

- Damaging Despero
- Messing up Black Adam's face
- Messing up Gog
- Owning Blockbuster with his Nth armor
- Getting amputated, and still fighting
- Bashing Sinestro

In fact, HM is probably a lot more durable than BT, especially if we take the Nth metal into account.

Despero got "damaged" by Batman.

Gog is not so tough when facing mainstream characters.
