Interesting that this news was leaked.

Meaning someone must have leaked it. How likely is it, that this convenient detail was conveniently noticed almost immediately. Are people in the news in the habit of constantly checking arrest record pages?

I wonder what the politics are of those who worked on the website. An opportunist could easily arrange a "mistake" that's embarrassing to one they do not support, and make sure someone notices.

It’s obvious what the politics are. And DDM’s post pretty much summed it up nicely.

He works in the IT world, meaning he has no idea how bad these clowns really are who, going by Obamacare or the dmv websites, never even read up on "IT for dummies."

My main point has nothing to do with his though, which is that it's not all that likely someone would pick up on this problem. Reporters don't routinely drudge every government website. So how did they even know this problem existed?

The obvious answer is, someone tipped them off. And the most likely people to do that, are insiders working close to the rollout. Either someone on the tech teams, or a politicial rival, or someone in that area who doesn't like Kamala.

Or reporters who have been checking on her record noticed a drastic change.

Which is very convenient timing. Did they just happen to check, only as this problem arose? Have they not detailed dossiers on all the candidates already?

Not likely.

To many questions, to little time.

DDM's post is spot on really

I think there is merit to what you're suggesting: incompetence resulted in the accidental deletion of a database.

However...the way things work...they'd have to go out of their way to delete just Harris' records like this.

So your other point is probably the most correct: someone tipped them off.

I have another suggestion, though: Harris was a hot topic in the news at the moment as was her prosecution record. When people were trying to write stories on it, they noticed what they saw one day was gone the next. These same people who work in The Media would obviously write about it. IMO, this is the most likely reason why this made the news. Keep in mind that it is mostly Dems eating each other over this. They are fighting each other tooth and nail at the moment. The GOP just has to sit back and watch the Democratic Party Character Assassination Machine do its job.
