Mexico has one gun store and gun violence is reaching an epidemic

He served in the military, yet somehow can't grasp logistics

So what regulations will stop guns from flowing into Mexico from the USA?

70% of guns in Mexico originated in the US apparently.

That would be a "majority" of their guns.

^Why did you make these statements?

Cos it's topical

Because getting guns from China and Russia, which mostly go through the US anyway, is much more difficult and costly.

And the guns they get from South America...are almost all US guns.

Do you have a source for any of this?

Okay, so what regulations could we set up to reduce those numbers?

We should just stop selling weapons to the Mexican military and police. that would certainly make a dent.

A significant source of Mexican cartel weapons is legal sales by U.S. gun companies to the Mexican military and police, sales approved by the U.S. State Department which after they arrive in Mexico end up in cartel hands. In 2011 CBS News reported "The Mexican military recently reported nearly 9,000 police weapons "missing."" A 2009 U.S. State Department audit showed 26 percent of guns sold legally to governments in Mexico and Central America were diverted to the wrong hands

That's a good idea, but this also seems to show that Mexico is more of a shithole due to the incessant corruption than because of anything the USA did.

The U.S should do all it can to Protect the Mexicans from Harming Themselves.

The wall is useless.

Strict gun laws increased homicides in Japan and Australia.

Russia has far stricter gun laws than the US but has a much higher homicide rate.

Gun laws and intentional homicides are not correlated. No amount of pseudoscience studies will change this.

People should differentiate between guns and assault weapons. If you want a gun for home defense, that's one thing. But no one outside the police, military, special forces etc. should have access to automatic weapons. You need an assault weapon to hunt deer? I don't think so.

Automatic weapons are already restricted.

@rough rider: There is really no such thing as an "assault weapon." At least not for civilians. Civilians don't have access to automatic weapons if those're what you're referring to. "Assault weapons" is a term made-up by the ignorant, anti-gun hysteria left. Any item you use to assault someone with could technically be called an "assault weapon" including but not limited to knives, cars, baseball bats, bricks, etc...

AR-15 does not stand for "assault rifle" either as many dumb lefties think. AR-15's are not "weapons-of-war" as Hillary deceptively called them. Any military would be nuts to go to war with it soldiers armed with nothing but AR-15's when the other side would have real weapons-of-war (fully automatic weapons).

He’s not really in the know, can you blame him though, he spends most of his time posting about underage boys being seduced by older women.

IT hasn't been Built Yet. There for it Can't be useless.

Always love the Back and Forth Love Affair the Love has with "The Science"

And one should really ask.... Is it Legal to carry any kind of firearm from the U.S to Mexico? I mean I hear Mexico has Laws against it...SO How is is it possible to get guns from here to there?

Walls exist already. Efficacy is terrible.

Checkmate.

Real question is Why the Mexicans Gotta Kill each Other SO much?

We agree on a lot of things, but I’ll have to disagree with the wall being useless. Like anything in life, if it’s not man and taking off, of course it’s useless. But prophet care and maintenance, the wall if done properly can be very useful.

In war zones we use T-walls and barricades to slow the enemy before they can surround us, it doesn’t stop them 100% depending on the weapons they carrying, but it’s enough to give us a chance to counter attack.
