Eight people are dead after a gunman entered a supermarket in Buffalo, New York and opened fire Saturday afternoon, law enforcement sources said. The shooter entered the Tops Friendly Market on Jefferson Avenue shortly after 2:30 p.m. and shot at least eight people, those sources said.An eighth person injured in the gunfire was said to be in critical condition. Sources said the suspected gunman entered the store carrying a rifle and wore military-style gear or a type of body armor. Public in the immediate vicinity has been asked to avoid the store while police investigate.
A Buffalo police official at the scene and another source close to law enforcement confirmed the massacre at the supermarket. "It's like walking into a horror movie, but everything is real. It is Armageddon-like," said the police official at the scene. "It is so overwhelming."
One of the deceased was a recently retired Buffalo police officer who was working security at the store, both sources said.
Sources are withholding the retired officer's identity because it could not be determined if his family had yet been notified. As many as five bodies were found in the parking lot, the onsite police official said.
The attack was live-streamed on Twitch, and screenshots from the recording showed horrific scenes, including a woman who is shot in the head as she walks outside the store. In other screenshots, victims can be seen on the floor of the supermarket.
A 106-page online manifesto, believed to have been uploaded by the shooter, explained that he was motivated by a conspiracy theory that white people are being replaced by other races. In the document, he says he is 18 years old and a self-described white supremacist and anti-semite.
Law enforcement officers are investigating whether a retired federal agent had advance notice of a white supremacist's plans to murder black people at a Buffalo supermarket.
Authorities believe the former agent from Texas was one of at least six individuals who regularly communicated with gunman Payton Gendron in an online chat room where racist hatred was discussed.
Two law enforcement sources with direct knowledge of the investigation stated these individuals were invited by Gendron to read about his mass shooting plans and the target location before Gendron killed 10 people at Tops Markets on Jefferson Avenue on May 14th.

Two-thirds of Republicans surveyed agreed with the "great replacement" conspiracy theory that holds that Democrats are importing immigrants to replace "more conservative white voters," according to a newly released survey.
Of Republicans surveyed, 68 percent said they believed that the recent shift in U.S. demographics is "not a natural change but has been motivated by progressive and liberal leaders actively trying to leverage political power by replacing more conservative white voters."
That includes 38 percent who strongly agreed with the statement, with 30 percent of Republicans saying they somewhat agreed.

Language that divides or treats people as second class, for instance racial terms or all gypsies are thieves, never trust an Arab, moderate Islam, no such thing. Most of these would be fine to say in Europe although the more these things are not challenged the more normalised they become and the more the Overton window shifts. Until what is unacceptable becomes acceptable. In the opinion of some, for the US stage one of the 8 stages of genocide has been reached since Trump took office through your freedom of speech laws.
