Predictions for the post-Trump future

👆Certainly a very possible and far healthier scenario.
Ofc, other factors also need to be considered, eg, technological advancements (and assuming we don't destroy ourselves); and perhaps also a recognition that there may be a natural limit to wealth disparity, a threshold that, once crossed, triggers the cycle of:

1. Revolution to overthrow the 'old' corrupt power structures.
2. New power structures put in place.
3. Corruption of the these 'new' power structures over time.
4. See #1.

Humans. - sigh -

The Democratic party will not fare much better. Both have to deal with the issue of diversity. But whereas the Rep party is trying to ignore it, the Dems are bending over backward to accommodate 'Identity politics', and as such will fracture into (at least) two new parties: one of Radical Progressives (and IMO its antecedent currently does not see the fine line between justice and revenge -- this does not bode well for the party's future), and a party of 'Conservative Progressives'. In effect, we'll have the same 'Left/Right' dynamic we have today, just the whole shebang will have shifted more leftward (ie, relative to today).

Sounds disturbing, I'd rather not be like the UK with the so called "Conservatives" and the proto-Marxist Labour party.

It's all relative (ie, what's 'Left' and 'Right'😉. Certainly, the one predictable aspect is, the future will not be like anything we are currently predicting. Consider how different the beginning of the 20th century was from its closing. Given the accelerating rate of tech innovation (and how that will affect us on so many levels), I think it's safe to say that the difference between the beginning and end of the 21st century will be even more extreme.

👆 the bigotry and racism will be hidden for another generation. Like all collaborators, they will feel shame and people will remember they exhibited the basest of human behaviours.

Enough with the racism stance, its outdated.

Name me one Black individual since Trump became President have been negatively impacted due to racism, and not because of their shitty life styles and choices.

Dems will hide their bigotry and racism? But they don't hide it now, why would they hide it if, as Rob says, they win the 2020 election?

You really believe the far-left will be able to hide their bigotry and racism?

^ Look kids, the rare and elusive tag-team strawman argument. Sssshhh. Don't want to frighten it.

Black and Latino unemployment is at a record low yet again during Trump's administration.

uhh, also, more black youths (18-24) are working right now than in all recorded history.

Prison Reform Act (affecting mostly blacks) was passed by Trump.

etc, etc ...

That's reversed reverse racism.

When Trump loses in 2020, Trumpers are going to work VERY hard to pretend they were never really Trumpers, like the true cowards they are.

eg Paul Ryan. "I felt trapped!", "it was a nightmare!", "we had no choice!" etc.

I GUARANTEE TRUMP WINS AGAIN!!!!

PLACE YOUR BET ANTIFA SCUM!!!!

Little robbie is trying so hard at pretending to be so confident that Trump is gonna lose in 2020. It's so adorable. the truth is he and every other Trump-hater is probably scared shitless.

His "Trump has already lost" act kinda reminds me of how he and pretty much every other lefty on this forum was so certain Hillary had the 2016 election in the bag. Some people never learn.

A democratic will probably be the next president after trump.

Long term I think within maybe 30 or 40 years there will be a massive paradigm shift within the electorate and the Republican Party will cease to exist. I think the Democratic Party will essentially become the new party if traditional values and kind of take their place minus all the religious horse shit and a new legitimately left wing party will come into play and become a major player.

If Islam continues its trend of working into the Democratic party, religion will play a very big role indeed.
