Imagine being so ingrained in your own politics that you project it onto everything else in your life. The movies you see and the characters in them being a perfect example.
Never being able to switch off from it. People that do that must get very little enjoyment from things that are supposed to be entertainment.

It's not even particularly violent. In fact compared to some relatively recent cinema releases like Bone Tomahawk it's not violent at all. The problem people will have is they will find themselves thinking the Joker's use of violence is acceptable.
