Anyone remember Action Comics 584 where a frustrated and physically handicapped incel used a device to swap bodies with Superman to use it to go on an incel rampage?

What a great character, this old comic seems oddly relevant even today. If only more incels grew up reading Superman. 👆

Guy Pierce looks f*cking angry.

This is actually my first comic. I got it at an elementary school fun fair when I was in kindergarten.

Poor Superman was caught in a lot of very inappropriate at best, horrific at worst, situations.

Remember that time he was forced into making a prono with Big Barda?

For having a better first comic then I did as a kid.

Yes, Superman the rapist incel is still better then "Archie and the Gang".

I don't remember actually reading that particular comic but I certainly remember the cover lol. It was a pre-crisis story wasn't it? Back before they massively nerfed Superman's powers so he couldn't do things like juggle planets anymore lol.

Post crisis. Sometime in 87-88, I believe, just after the Man of Steel reboot.

Re-reading that era, one thing stood out: Superman never saved the day by punching someone out. I bet the writers were under orders to showcase his wits and non superpowered attributes.

But they were just so bad at it. Supermans idea of cleverness was "Let aliens possess me, on the hopes I overload them, or get them fighting."

Which added up to a wild hail Mary guess that worked out. Nothing clever about that, it just made him look lucky.

It got kind of ridiculous, tbh.

He was probably under one ton. Spider-Man could beat him with his eyes closed and both hand webbed behind his back.

Superman fights Hellgrimatte, a Batman villain who's kind of a poor man's Lizard. Superman punch's him.. then gets knocked around.

Then there's that time fat, bald, stump armed handless Luthor beat him up and threw him out. Ask Stilt about that one, it's his favorite.
