I actually like Valance in canon, but then again, I never really followed in in Legends so I wouldn't know the differences.

Valance says he has a code, doesn't kill Boba even though he doesn't want him killing Lash. .....Yet he kills Xonr and already broke the Code between Hunters twice already, the other stealing bounties and...killing other Hunters. I mean my guy, you already broke Codes here...soo...

Cool I always loved Boba in Shadows of the Empire avoiding the other bounty hunters. So dont mind a new take on that.

Well this should definitely solidify Boba as the #1 non force user in canon.

This is honestly something I NEVER understood even in the old Canon. At the end of ESB, it's basically stated that Fett had already delivered Han to Jabba. So...I really don't see where all of this is coming from that Boba has to go up against anyone.
